YouTube's Ad of the Year

Sussex Safer Roads Partnership’s PSA was named YouTube’s Ad of the year last week, and if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s both brilliant and gorgeous, and even a little heartwarming. And ahead of the busiest travel day of the year (I’ll be in the car for 11 hours with a toddler, top that!), it’s a beautifully shot reminder to wear your seatbelts.

Thank you for sharing this. I think it made me cry a little. Well done, Sussex Safer Roads Partnership.

Aww man, you just had to go and post this. I get a bit teary-eyed every time I see it. It makes want to snuggle my husband and cover our car with bubblewrap. And, obviously, make sure we both wear seatbelts.

Very nice.

If this were a Super Bowl ad, the guy driving would've hit a drunk clydesdale, the mother would've ripped her shirt off before hugging him, and the daughter would've been a Coke can.

Every time I see that ad I get a little bit of dust in my eye.

I've generally started looking for the Kballs comment, as they hit more than they miss. The end is what got me "and the daughter would've been a Coke can."
