I don't know, Elijah was pretty dang cute.

I told everyone I knew that I wanted Elijah to be my son back then. He was so adorable!

Yeah, Leo was 18 or 19 by the time he did this interview, so he probably had a supermodel waiting for him off-stage. Little bastard.

I'm in no way surprised at how precious Elijah, JGL and Ryan (aboot!) were and still are. Nor am I surprised Leo was quite pleased with himself. Part of it was his being a total teen boy, and part is that he's got that vein of snot running through him.

The rest are adorable...but I can't stop smiling when little Christian talks.

You can tell how important good parenting is for kids breaking in at that age. All these boys come across as very grounded and mature, for being boys. Not surprisingly that they've come through the hardest phase of growing up then.

1. Gosling totally knew he was adorable, with that little swagger and smirk revealed alongside the genuine innocence of a Canadian kid.
2. JGL is just a straightforward, fun kid.
3. Leo has already pulled at least one supermodel by this point. He's already no longer a kid, but has some graciousness.
4. "Oh, Sam!" Elijah, you just are Frodo.
5. Christian sounds remarkably similar, both his voice and his words.

No. In 1995 he would have been 19 - and he's not 19 in the video. Also, he's only talking about "Empire of the Sun", which was his first major role, IIRC, and that's from the late 80s.

The YouTube title says it's 1987, which makes way more sense.

DiCaprio was an old hat at the interview thing by the time this one came along and already had plenty of adoring fans, JGL seems like such a dork and he looks like he's trying way too hard. For me, Elijah Wood and Baby Goose are tied for most adorable.

But it's a sweet kind of trying too hard! Endearing and not fakey. DiCaprio knew the kinds of things he was supposed to say by then, but the way he tried not to laugh at his fan letters, etc....

True, it is endearing. It reminds me of what happens when you point a camera at most 12/13 year olds... they overact and try to impress you but it's still cute.

I felt the same way about Elijah Wood and I don't have a maternal bone in my body. So, so cute.
