Last night on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon,” Michael C. Hall appeared ahead of the season finale of “Dexter” this Sunday, and when asked about what sort of Christmas song that Dexter might like, Michael C. Hall offered to demonstrate.

The man can sing.

Why are you surprised? Michael C. Hall did do a bit of musical theater before he got Six Feet Under, not to mention having grown up singing in boys' choirs. In fact, it was his director in Cabaret, Sam Mendes, who recommended Hall for David Fisher.

Aaaaaaand I'm even more in love with Michael C. Hall. So adorable.

it's the host's reactions that really sell it.

the lighthearted fun of Hall aping dexter kind of redeems how terrifyingly deviant this season of dexter has been.

I can't stop myself from watching dexter, but i feel dirty after every episode. this season turned the premise on its head: the premise was always that dexter is a momster, but because we see everything, we know how human he is.

this season, dexter is feeling human and more accepting of himself, while we have seen the monster as well as the monster giving genesis to a new monster.

For years we have been being taught to love a vigilante. This year, they called him a vigilante for the first time while fully embracing his monstrosity, asking us, through Lumen's character to become a monster as well.

seriously perverse tv, made light with christmas carols. god bless tv. or something.

I see some Glee in his future.

That was good. He has good taste as a singer, too. He doesn't over-dramatize it the way a lot of people with a musical theater background do.

If he actually made the connection between Dexter and that song on the spot, then I am SUPER impressed.

Hey if Futurama, Warehouse 13, and Eureka can do Christmas themed episodes, why not Dexter?

Oh Michael C Hall. Why must you be so adorable?

I can never take Fallon's reactions as anything but affected or insincere.

Yeah...Fallon is not funny.
