Watch a Room Full of Marines Gleefully Sing Along to 'Frozen' Like the Brute Killers They Are

This is unexpectedly delightful. Not only does this roomful of Marines sing along to the “Let It Go” section of Frozen, the familiarity they have with it suggests that they have seen it many times, which is to say: Never stereotype a Marine, folks. They have feelings just like we do! And when Idina Menzel belts out that long note, they, too, feel compelled to belt out that long note.

Honest to God, these are the men that defend our country from motherf**king evil, and I couldn’t be more happy about that.

Now, that goddamn song is going to be stuck in my head again.

    That is just outright adorable!

  • I love this because it's adorable but also because Disney and Idina Menzel just schooled Lee Greenwood in the use of music for military PR.

This reminds me if the time when I was watching Ai in a packed base theatre in 29 palms. Every time teddy came on screen the room (400 or so Marines) would go absolutely ape shit.

  • My husband, one of my favorite artists/professors, and my uncle are all Marines (semper fi, Devil Dog!), and I've worked on a few U.S. military bases. You have no idea how ridiculously fun things with these guys can get. Most of the Marines I've met are huge goobers. Incidentally, my husband and the artist/professor are two of the most laid-back hippies I've ever known . Super nurturing animal lovers who've never killed anyone.

    This song still sucks, though.

Agree about the Devil Dogs. I grew up with a lot of Marine family/friends and they're kinda doofy in general.
Also: My Marine cousin sings "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman?" CONSTANTLY with his 5 year old. It may be a form of mental torture for his poor wife.

Dustin, you do it to yourself, you do, and that's what really hurts.

  • Dustin, isn't it amazing? I just...when they put their arms up. I love it!

Those Marines are for lack of a better word adorable. I love when they are bouncing on the couch along with the music. My three year old son does the same thing. :)

I want to know when the Phillipine Inmates do their version

Yah, but how is Idina Menzel going to feel in 5 years when she learns our military has been using the song as a torture device. Al Queda operatives will totally give up the goods after hearing that song on repeat for 72 straight hours; that, or they will become fully indoctrinated Americans.

Half the parents I know have survived it for far longer than that.
