Awkward, yet endearing. Tom Hanks doesn't quite save it, but at least he recognizes his mistake and tries to atone.

Hey! It happens. At least he used an accent.

The old man is becoming senile.

  • Nob Lob Law

I'm from Australia and I still remember the time they played a Greenday song with several f bombs in it on a children's breakfast program. No one apologized, I thought I was hearing things.

    I love Craig.

TOM HANKS HOW DARE YOU. WE ARE OVER. (J/K, please adopt me.)

  • SchmidtUltra

    Tom Fucking Hanks!

  • Miss Kate

I'm more offended by his mustache than I am from any F-bombs.

  • My prediction, FCC levies a fine on ABC and Hanks pays it for them.

  • That's not an offer I would make lightly. FCC fines are calculated per affiliate and they've been getting pretty expensive lately.

  • Kate

Man, Americans are really weird about swear words. In Australia and the UK everyone would just have a laugh, that's if anyone even noticed, but from the reaction the host and crew (audience?) had here you'd think Tom exposed himself while yelling 'Hitler Rules!'

  • Gina

American TV censorship doesn't make an ounce of sense, really. TV will show an adult oriented movie with graphic murder scenes - but a character saying "bullshit" or other arbitrarily banned words is bleeped out.

  • Natallica

I'm argentinian, and here (and in most Latin-American countries) people casually flung swear words at each other on reality TV without censoring and, if somebody was in Tom's position, yes, the host and everybody would have just laughed. But, anyway, that man is the ambassador of mature age cuteness

  • Pants-are-a-must

That is the cutest screencap of the week, surely.

  • gunnertec

Tom Hanks can do whatever he wants. Elizabeth Vargas sounded like a ninny. I want to hate-f*ck her so bad.

  • Snow Tennis

In Sweden, we are used to swear words and nudity on TV. Instead, we have strict gun laws.

  • Tom Hanks pretty much has the closest thing to diplomatic immunity anyone could ever ask for.

  • John G.

I posted this wrong, but can't delete.

  • Americans have the strangest obsessions.

  • John G.

agreed! Can we talk like adults yet? Or do we still have to pretend we're a culture of 3 year olds?

  • damnitjanet

    God, I love that man.
