After a terrible and tortuous hiatus, “Cougar Town” returns to ABC tonight. You should be watching it, and telling everyone you know to be watching it. “But Seth,” you says, “it’s Valentine’s Day.” I understand. But don’t you know about the circle of love?

Show your love to “Cougar Town” and love will come back to you, and that’s what Valentine’s Day is all about. And if that’s not enough of a reason for you, black heart, here are ten more reasons you should tune in. Tonight. Do it.

10. Because Ted lives on and Hooch is crazy.

9. Because Ellie’s still packing and Andy is Keyser Soze. Or Keifer Doody.

8. Because of the music.

7. Because … hoodie punishment.

6. Because that’s what he said.

5. Because of the Full Shawshank.

4. Because even though there’s now Big Carl, Big Joe will never be forgotten.

3. Because Bobby.

2. Because we don’t want to miss Thanksgiving again, damn it. This is funny because it’s true. And sad because it’s true. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again.

1. Because of Penny Can. Penny Can!

My wine is ready. And I'm buying backup wine JUST IN CASE.

Penny Can! Big Carl is ready and I cannot wait. I love seeing that you all share our appreciation for such an amazing show!

I have been missing this show like crazy. So can't wait. And thanks for whetting my appetite even further.

BTW - a friend of mine went to a screening party with the cast this weekend, got to meet them all and best of all - SHE GOT TO PLAY BOBBY COBB PENNY CAN. So jealous.

I'll DVR it and ff past anything not Scrubs related. (Although the weird little guy from The Drew Carey Show is funny.)

I'll watch it purely because Bill Lawrence seems like a cool fucking guy. And he's a Stern fan, and therefore gets a lifetime pass.

Time to wine up!

YES! I'm so glad this show is getting love. Also, I need the name of Courtney Cox's plastic surgeon for when I'm older - the woman looks fantastic.

I do enjoy this show. It's just fun. It's kinda like "Happy Endings," only with 40-somethings instead of 20-somethings. ABC has actually got a decent lineup of enjoyable comedies going. I'm sure eventually they'll fuck it up, but until then, I'm liking it.

I kinda wish "Jules" and Tiny Eyes hadn't hooked up. I liked it better when they were just neighbors who hung out and kinda liked each other.
