Stewart and O'Reilly Argue About White Privilege. That's Right, The 'P' Word.

Bill O’Reilly was the guest on last night’s Daily Show, and he and Stewart sat down to discuss white privilege. Or as Stewart describes it “you at home at Thanksgiving with the two uncles you really wish didn’t show up.” The familial animosity is there, but honestly, if two of my seven uncles could carry on a coherent conversation for this long, I’d be proud.

I don’t want to delve too far into the white privilege debate, but I did have a couple of thoughts:

1.) Not believing in something doesn’t make it not true, Bill. If I have to acknowledge Geraldo’s topless Tweets, you have to acknowledge racism is still a thing.

2.) I think we, the liberals, need a pretty serious PR makeover. At the 7:33 mark, O’Reilly says, “Yes, it’s harder if you’re a ghetto kid.” That is the literal point of white privilege. Bill Effing O’Reilly just admitted that basic conceit of white privilege on TV, and we still can’t win this argument. Dems, it’s time for a serious re-branding.
