During a special D.C. episode of The Colbert Report on Monday, President Obama made a “surprise” appearance, and by God, the man can still play a room. In the right context, dude is still a goddamn rock star. I got a little misty seeing Obama being welcome with actual cheers and applause. IT’S BEEN SO LONG.

Anyway, during “The Word” segment, Obama came in and took over The Colbert Report, making it a “little more presidential,” by changing the name to “The Decree,” but otherwise, reading the script, as is.

It’s good stuff, even if it is a promotion for Obamacare.
