Watching the first half of Michael Bay's yearly holiday "Victoria's Secret" ad, I felt as though he were building toward a climax, a huge finale of explosions and fireworks and buildings crumbling and dove exploding mid-air. But it never happens: Bay plays it straight with Frank Sinatra's "In the Wee Small Hours of the Morning." By God, it's almost sweet.
