Martin Scorsese's New Casino Commercials Are Basically the 2016 Oscar Frontrunners

When Martin Scorsese directs a commercial, he doesn’t f*ck around. He hires Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro and gives them each $13 million to hang around a casino. The budget for this project— a series of ads for the new City of Dreams Manila in the Philippines— is purportedly $70 million dollars. Seventy. Million. Dollars. For some context, that’s more than the combined budget of the last three movies I’ve seen (Inherent Vice, Selma, and A Most Violent Year).

Nice work if you can get it, huh?

Vivian Kane fully expects to get punched for mentioning the 2016 Oscars. Bring it.
