With all the terrible news and videos we see on a near-daily basis, it’s damned nice to see some people doing good. Recently, police in Lowell, Michigan conducted a series of traffic stops that resulted not in tickets, rather, holiday gifts. The cops were outfitted with cameras, and shopper elves quickly whisked through a nearby store, running Christmas list items over to the traffic stop scene where motorists were appropriately dumbfounded…and happy.

The Santa stops were conducted as part of an uplifting news campaign, intended to show law enforcement in a different light. While it can’t erase other recent images and videos from our minds, it’s lovely to have a spot of brightness out there.
