I read and listened to a lot of information on Brexit last week leading up to the vote, but nothing was more informative — if you want to know what’s really going in Britain — than Petr’s primer summing up the Leave position. Likewise, his morning-after reaction fairly summed up the general consensus among intelligent voters of Britain.
Last night, another Brit, John Oliver, aggregated much of what we heard in the wake of the vote, but he added his own spin in discussing the aftermath of the Brexit vote.
Of course, he also covered Trump’s pointless, idiotic comments on Brexit in Scotland on Friday, and he had a message for American voters when it comes to Donald Trump and the November election. “Take it from Britain,” he said, “some ridiculous-haired buffoon peddling lies and nativism” can ride a protest vote into power, and if it does happen, “there are no fucking do overs.”
