Comments Are Welcome, Jerks Will Be Banned

  • The Mama

    I'll admit that I jumped.

And I'm totally saving this for the Kid. Apropos, because she didn't exactly try her best on her science quiz this week.

Although she's only 10. I should probably not show it to her JUST yet.

  • hapl0

    HAHAHA

  • thebluestepside

I have not laughed that hard in a long, long time.

  • Melina

I wish I could actually show this to my students without getting fired.

  • Afferbeck

It's made by the same guys who made this ad
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

  • The Mama

    Um, that was brilliant.

  • Afferbeck

Man I forgot how good this was

  • Jack London

As a teacher in Australia, I am *so* tempted to show this to my students.

  • Jack London

Also, this - not Australia Day (which was last Sunday) - made me proud to be an Aussie this week.

  • Rebecca Hachmyer

    Whhaaaaa the f********ck

  • John W

    That was funny.

  • Debra Kessing

I have never been so proud to be Aussie ! and still laughing here ....

  • ellcoolj

As a teacher I support this and wish I could show it to my students without getting fired

  • Hooray my country, Australia.

  • general rhubarb

    Only in Australia...

  • Zen

I knew it was an Aussie ad. I bloody knew it. It was like Puberty Blues with Cabin in the Woods consequences.

  • Abby

I knew it was Aussie as soon as I saw that brunette dude, who is definitely some sort of Hemsworth, right?

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

All Aussies are Hemsworths. They reproduce by budding.

Except aborigines. Consider their plight, beset as they are by nothing but Thors.

  • kali yuga

Actually, if everyone slacked off, there would be no war, no explosive testing areas, and no blowing shit up.

  • Pants_are_a_must

Everyone can be back to being feudal vassals! PARTY TIME!

  • martin

well, not everyone. we still need some serfs and peasants.

  • ecuamerican

So was the lesson that they couldn't read? Or that they were terribly unlucky? Or both?

Also, I'm saving this video to show my future children. Of course, I'll video their reaction and put it on the 2025 version of YouTube

  • Finance_Nerd

The lesson to me is that people are stupid. I'll admit that I don't know how the following may be taken, but this is the first thing I thought of after seeing that

I was stationed at the Guantanamo Naval Base from 1994-1995 for Operation Sea Signal. The base is surrounded by mine fields that are clearly marked w/signs in both English and Spanish. Most of the fields also have fences and concertina wire around them to prevent you from inadvertently strolling into one. Even w/all of that, two Marines (who were going to be rotated home) decided to go into the mine fields so they could have a picture of themselves in it. I will repeat that - these geniuses thought a picture of themselves IN A MINE FIELD was a good idea. They made it in successfully, but for some reason did not follow the same path on the way out. Surprise - one got killed and the other got his legs blown off. I know this b/c my battalion then had to sit in on a one hour presentation on why you shouldn't go into a mine field and how to identify them.

As a general rule, I think if you are stupid enough to actively go into a clearly identified mine field, you deserve what you get. That's why we have the Darwin Awards.

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

Yeah, the skipping school part is not remotely the reason they ended up dying in a minefield. They could've done the same thing after classes or just on a Saturday and they'd still be ever so dead and blown to bits.

  • Finance_Nerd

I think they skipped a fair amount of school prior to the Marines, so there's still a correlation

  • LittleMissPonderer

    Well, that was...heavy.

  • I am not ashamed to admit I am still laughing. That is just terrible, and I love it and wish they would show stuff like that on TV here.
