While I’m pretty sure a ‘like’ of George Takei’s Facebook page is now mandatory if you want access to the internet, there’s still a chance you may have missed this. So, to please the Takeigency, here is a TEDx talk Takei gave in Kyoto. He opens with “I am a veteran of the Starship Enterprise,” but moves on quickly to talk about a subject which in recent years he’s made clear is very important to him: the Japanese American internment of WWII. Give it a watch. It’s the least we can do to show gratitude for the dozens of pun-based animal pictures he gives us every day.
