I was just saying to Joanna the other day that wouldn't it be great if someone taped people reacting to the Red Wedding reaction video, and then someone could tape them until the entire planet has fallen into an Inception-level so deep that the pop-culture cannibalization begins to eat away itself until the Earth caves in.

Well, we didn't get that, but we got the next big thing. Here's George R.R. Martin on "Conan" watching and then responding to the reaction video.

Christ! Just finish the next book already! STFU and finish the MF book! I get that he's the visionary, writing these awesome books. I understand I'm not entitled to the next book when I want it. His book, his schedule...blah blah blah. Seriously though: finish the next goddam book, at least release whatever you've written now. Turn out your monthly writings in a serial format, I don't care! Feed me stories or Imma Pycelle your beard! You don't want to look like a giant skin tag, DO YOU!!! (please, please, please???)

  • I like to imagine a video compilation of people getting to that scene in the books, and their reactions upon finishing it. I wonder how many did what I did--immediately throw that giant monster of a book at the fucking wall.

What the HELL is up with his outfit? He looks like he should be playing drums in a Grateful Dead revival band in a dockside dive in Poughkeepsie on a Thursday night. Try the oysters!

Is it just me or does George kinda look like a garden gnome in that header pic?

  • TherecanbeonlyoneAdmin

The last guy on the reaction clip is right. Also, I want to tug on George's beard.

  • stryker1121

Ah, my little tugboat captain. Please don't die!

  • TheOriginalMRod

Santa R.R. Claus gives the bestest presents ever!

  • PerpetualIntern

But he only comes around once every 5 Christmases or so.

  • TheOriginalMRod

That's why we have the Hogfather!

  • There's a part of me that wants to take the fucking hat and shove it up his Dinklage. I'm not proud of it, I don't exactly know why. Perhaps it's mostly because he'd do it to any of his characters.

  • Enrique del Castillo

Why isn't he writing!? Please, GRRM, bring us more pain!

  • AnusTart

Google what he uses to write the books on and you will know why it takes him forever

  • Fabius_Maximus

    Parchment and a quill?

    Stone and chisel

  • Sara_Tonin00

That was pretty funny. And it led me to this:

How did something involving Conan, Workaholics, rapping and wizards not make the P.Luv?

  • There are already more comments here than on the actual "Conan" site. I love you, Pajiba.

  • Bananaranma

And no f#$%s were given that day.

  • Fredo

He drinks your milkshake! He drinks it right up!

Oh...and where's Winds of Winter, George??

  • Genevieve Burgess

He did actually mention that he's afraid of the show catching up to him so he's trying to write faster. So, he's at least willing to pay lip service to the idea.

  • foolsage

He also had to tell the producers of the TV show what happens to everyone, just in case Martin dies before finishing the series.
