Fridays in Man Crush

Seth and I are in Sundance for the next several days, filing reviews for films you’ve never heard of and probably won’t even care about for another six months, if at all. But jokes on you: We get a tax break to watch them. Only under Obama!

But before I go under the documentary lights and submerge myself into some indie hipster’s family dysfunction, I have to get up this video of Ryan Gosling playing the ukulele and singing on last night’s Jimmy Kimmel. I wanted to get it out quick before someone else stole my man crush thunder (TK, I’m looking at you.).

Plus, it’s nice way to start your morning. Really, Ryan Gosling is a good way to start any morning.

Ryan Reynolds is sobbing into his Cheerios as we speak.

And I thought I was having a fabulous morning due to my Nutella toast. Now it's improved. Thanks Rowles!

(Also, anyone one else pissed off at the report released yesterday with a list of programs Republicans want to cut? Schools, public radio and the arts! They're goddamn fascists! Damn...I think I need more Nutella.)

Adorable. Every time I see him, he is EVEN MORE ADORABLE. He really needs to cut that out.

I still don't see the appeal...

Why, Scully, I am eating nutella toast at this very moment!
On another note, HOW IS HE SO WONDERFUL? Ryan Gosling, you slay me.

I remain completely ashamed at how much I adore him. I think it might be illegal in some states.

Anyone else have a crush on Jimmy Kimmel? No? Just me?

Posted by: Staceygarrett at January 21, 2011 11:46 AM

Work related expenses. NICE.

The man made you give a shit about a sex doll. I mean...cccome ooonn.

This just made me like him again. Was I the only one who hated him in Blue Valentine?

I never would have guessed that I would want the tall, lanky dude from "Breaker High" to do great, naughty things to me.

Add this JK appearance to the long list of reasons why I so hope I am able to run into (and onto) him. From "Hey, Girl" to his love for his grandma to the steamy kissing to the sexy GQ shots to his being in a band because he truly loves music and not just as a pet vanity project...he elicits unmentionable physiological responses from me.

The Gosling is true hotness.

Scully, not fascists per se, but rather people who'd prefer to see their fellow Americans poor, uneducated and fearful - hence making them easier to control.

Posted by: The Wanderer at January 21, 2011 1:21 PM

I am going to steal him and his ukulele.

Posted by: the bees knees at January 21, 2011 1:50 PM

Ah, Slappysquirrel, I still think of him from Breaker High as well! He was so goofy then. Who would have thought that he was going to be the big breakout star from that. I love him.

Does anyone else think Jimmy Kimmel is really boring? Isn't his shit so predictable?

Posted by: Brenton at January 21, 2011 3:05 PM

Oh, my god. The things Baby Goose does to me...

Posted by: laylaness at January 21, 2011 4:05 PM

Mmmm. Insanely delicious.

I like Gosling, but I too have a wierd like for Kimmel too. Crush is maybe too strong, but I am strangely attracted to him. I don't know why. It's so wierd. Maybe it's his goofy grin that slays me. Dammit!

Lars and the Real Girl was a great little movie.
