Which Legendary Character Actor Has the Crazy Eyes and Wants To Be Rocket Raccoon? | Taken 2 Review: Take Your Daughter to Work Day

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • Up All Night was a lot more like it's old self. That show is at its best when Regan and Chris are on screen together and the dialogue and interactions between everyone seemed far more natural. I thought it was the funniest of the night by far. Parks was good, but Ron Swanson would never wear make up and dress like a Princess for anyone. That's just not going to happen. They are making him too fuzzy at this point. Also didn't like the back down after Tom pushed the asshole into the pool. Why apologize, the guy is a dick. I hated that Leslie had to roll over for that little shit.

  • I want to put Adam Scott in my pocket. Or just make out with him. A lot. In his normal size.

Princess Ron Swanson slayed me beyond words.

  • Idle Primate

what does "cold open" mean? I see the phrase a lot, but i can never quite pick it up contextually.

  • Three_nineteen

It's when the show has a scene before showing the opening credits. The show starts "cold" without introduction.

  • Idle Primate

oh, thanks. that is simpler than I would have guessed. i thought it meant something to do with the kind of opening--like an opening that is not obviously the show. because, don't most shows play a scene before the credits/titles? maybe i just overthink things

I loved Jenna breaking the glass with her hand.

Also, Andy's "Ron likes you" note was so sweet.

I can't believe I'm saying it, but I'm actually enjoying the Office this season. I mean, not the whole show of course, but actually some of it, not most, but parts.

I like the breaking-the-fourth-wall stuff they're doing with the documentary crew. I wonder if they'll become characters before the end. The re-use of Daryl's pre-taped moment was great. Asian Jim was great. All the slavery bits were funny.

  • "You know I can't wear green, Jenna! The Clinique lady says I have witch undertones!"

  • April Ludgate gives such good reaction shots.

  • Zena, warrior Princess. Taking the reigns like a real warrior princess should. God, I love Lucy Lawless. I just hope she gets funnier....

  • Javier

“Your highnesses, we do humbly request thine permission to befix doth holes yonder.”

"To fix this hole we need two MEN!"
    "Or two princesses"

Also, can we codename Diana Ronilda?

Also also, what's up with The Office subplot of the new intern (new Jim) sort of kinda falling for Erin?...can we just keep her and Andy together in peace?

  • Three_nineteen

The entire last season of The Office might be worth it just for that family photo.

"Ron - you're walking on hot lava!"

  • Artemis

I hate every single second that Hazel is on screen. It feels incredibly forced, and it's never funny.
I thought The Office cold open was far and away the best scene last night, and the re-use of Darryl's pre-taped talking head segment was probably my second favorite. The show's not without its problems (*cough*Andy*cough*), but I'm beginning to have hope that The Office will return to not-terrible in its final season.

Hazel is awful! I quite enjoyed Kristen Schaal as Mel on Flight of the Conchords, but I can't stand her on 30 Rock.

  • Forbiddendonut

I agree on Hazel. That character alone (along with needing to clear space on my DVR to record the entire 4th season of Breaking Bad that was airing in a week and a half span) pretty much drove me away from the show last season.

Schaal is like an awesome comedic version of Farmiga. Discuss.

  • John G.

Schaal is funny, but not on this show. DISCUSSED!
