Now, before we go all knee-jerky and start bashing the upcoming TV series, "The Carrie Diaries," because we rightfully loathe the Sex and the City movies. Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall have completely tainted the Sex and the City brand. But, before you start bashing all willy nilly, remember this: There were four good seasons of "Sex and the City." It was a perfectly good show. If you could take the spirit of the early seasons of "Sex and the City" and transplant them to high school, could it work? Now, before you answer, here's the cast that's been lined up so far.
AnnaSophia Robb -- Carrie -- I have not seen Soul Surfer, but I loved Robb in both Because of Winn-Dixie and Bridge to Terabithia and I think that she's a great young actress. I wouldn't have pegged her as a Carrie, but she could swing it.
Stefania Owen -- Carrie's Little Sister -- She was great as the daughter in "Running Wilde."
Ellen Wong -- One of Carrie's Friends -- Dug her in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World.
Katie Findlay -- Carrie's Friend -- Also known as Rosie Larsen, from "The Killing."
Austin Butler -- Likely Love Interest -- No idea who this is. I think he's a Disney kid or something. Spoiler: Carrie doesn't marry him.
Freema Agyeman -- Journalist/Mentor to Carrie -- Agyeman is the clincher for me, turning this show into one that I probably never would've thought about to one that I'd at least give the pilot a shot. I mean, second hottest Doctor Companion?
