You Haven't Had Enough Hiddleston Lately; Let's Remedy That Right Now

Guys, it’s been about two weeks since we’ve had a post that involved Tom Hiddleston, and that’s just not acceptable. Not only that, but Ben Wheatley’s adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s High Rise looks damned good, especially in these new, Hiddleston-heavy promos. And I don’t know about you, but I’m loving the hell out of the 80s music renaissance going on right now. From American Horror Story: Hotel’s entire brilliant soundtrack, to Mr. Robot (both series’ music by Mac Quayle), and this second High Rise trailer — both of which make use of Tangerine Dream’s ubiquitous Love on a Real Train (which you may also remember from Risky Business) — the background music to my life is everywhere. But this isn’t about me; it’s about the Hiddleston! First up, is a bit of viral marketing in the form of a Hiddleston voiceover advertisement for the High Rise tower block in which his character Dr. Robert Laing resides (designed by Jeremy Irons’ Anthony Royal):

It may all sound lovely but of course, in a tower segregated by wealth and class, things are bound to go a little wonky.

You know you’re all in.

High Rise also stars Sienna Miller, Luke Evans, Keeley Hawes and James Purefoy, and it hits UK theaters March 18th, which means we’ll probably have to wait another whole year. Le sigh.
