There’s a Oscar-baiting movie coming out this fall called Conviction, starring Hilary Swank as a woman who decides to go to law school so she can seek the release of her wrongly imprisoned brother, played by Sam Rockwell.

In The Next Three Days, writer/director Paul Hackis (Crash) takes a different approach when the wife (Elizabeth Banks) of Russell Crowe’s character is apparently wrongly imprisoned for murder. He breaks her out of prison. Liam Neeson provides the sage advice, Hackis provides the high-brow dumbfuckery, Crowe provides the grunts, and Banks offers the pretty.

Here’s the trailer.

I can't be the only person who loves this trailer based solely on the fact that a Hollywood character, for once, doesn't automatically know how to use a gun by magic.

Elizabeth, baby, you're better than this. You deserve more.

C'mere.

Yeah, but at this point, you figure everyone has watched enough movies to figure out where the bullets go. Even pacifists know that shit.

Shall we play guess the ending?

I'll take a stab at the ending: she's actually guilty of the murder she's in for and it destroys Russell Crowe

Even Stevens is right.

What the hell? Why are all these movies been shot in Pittsburgh? That Hathaway-Gyllenhaal movie was, too. I just missed them. The only movie I know shooting there right now has Taylor Lautner. Blech.

Heyyyy, Jason Beghe was in it for a split second.
I like how he finds work through Scientology defectors.

You should all see this and possibly see a glimpse of my/my car. A weekend spend driving and reversing over the 10th st bridge in Pittsburgh. not so much fun.
