Trailer Tuesday: Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams Kiss Angrily. Need I Say More?

I feel like sometimes I tell you about trailers and end up explaining the movie better than it actually does. It makes me feel awesome, to tell you the truth, but it probably makes the trailers sad. They should be sad. However, I've decided to explain each movie with three words.

Ride Along: Buddy Cop Movie

Fleming: James Bond Author

Black Nativity: Langston Hughes Play

Passion: Sex And Violence

The Wolverine Featurette: A Little Bit of Stupid, A Lot of Awesome | Pitting Hollywood's 20 Most Derivative Movies Against Each Other

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams Kiss Angrily-sounds like a poem or an interpretive sculpture. That I would steal.

  • Jezzer

Let me just point out that if that trailer featured two men kissing angrily, the world would shit itself apart.

  • Maguita NYC

    Not anymore.

Many of us would be watching. Rapturously.

  • Ok, fine. But no Despicable Me 2 trailer? C'mon!

  • Jill

I'm not sure what it is, but Passion reminds me of Body Double, even though I can't think of anything the two have in common. Weird.

  • Brian Martin

Passion is not at all worth watching. The original film, Love Crime" is merely passable at best, & I'm unsure why it required an America iteration. Also Brian De Palma has grown a knack for making typically good actors come off amatuerish. He should pack it in, & wait for the "lifetime acheivement" awards to roll in.

    I......accept defeat.
    *podium explodes*

  • I wonder if they are going to include Fleming's near-ridiculous level of racism in there.

  • Mrcreosote

ahh, Hollywood where lesbians=driven career women=evil murderers is still the standard issue template.

  • I think they're bisexuals, at most.

  • Muhnah_Muhnah

At least it passes the Bechdel test! Baby steps.

Any day now we'll see a big studio action movie starring Henry Cavill as an MI6 agent forced to team up with a CIA agent played by Michael B Jordan, where they hate each other, then fall in love and have lots of crazy hot sex while fighting terrorists and eventually ride off into the sunset together. Yep.

  • Maguita NYC

I've already written the script for you!

  • Muhnah_Muhnah

That's great! We need to send it to someone in Hollywood. In 2046 obviously because at the moment, they're still figuring out what to do with black people.

  • Maguita NYC

'tsokay, I have a reputation for being "avant-gardiste". We'll show them how it's done.

Please send Cavill for casting cou... ehrm, for testing.

  • Foop

    I'd rather see your movie.

    I'd rather see your movie.

Merely corroborative detail, intended to give artistic verisimilitude to an otherwise bald and unconvincing narrative. (W.S. Gilbert)

The header photo looks like they are in a taxi and one of them has just said, "You don't understand. I coulda had class. I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am, let's face it," and then in the next moment a kiss full of anger and frustrated longing and crushed dreams but, ultimately, tenderness as they each realise they are as essential to each other as breathing. [fade out]

    I'd rather see your movie.

I like the fact that Noomi rapace and Rachel McAdams are in roles opposite of what you might expect them to play. And I was looking forward to the movie, but I think i just watched the entire outline, "plot twists" and all. Bad editing has ruined another one. Thanks a lot trailer.

  • Cara

Agreed - it seems to have given away the entire movie... wtf
