Trailer Roundup: Ghosts On A Plane, Hunting Rare Animals, Or Henry Cavill Shirtless - You Choose

There are a handful of trailers that have dropped over the last couple of days, and I’ve got mixed feelings about all of them. So I leave it up to you, darling readers. Which one appeals to you most?

Is it…

… Henry Cavill, getting all Liam Neeson on a bunch of shadowy figures who’ve stolen his family because his dad (Bruce Willis!) is a CIA spook? Keeping in mind that it likely features copious Cavill shirtlessness? Brought to you by the director of JCVD?Then I give you The Cold Light Of Day:

Perhaps you’d rather get all “I’ve had it with these motherfuckin’ on this motherfuckin’ plane!” In which case, I direct you to 7500, directed by Takashi Shimizu (both the American and Japanese versions of The Grudge/Ju-On). It certainly has its share of pretty, if not particularly talented - Amy Smart, Jamie Chung, Leslie Bibb, Scout Taylor-Compton, and Nicky Whelan, as well as… um… Johnathon Schaech?

And your final choice, if sweeping landscapes and tortured souls are more your speed, then perhaps The Hunter is a tastier cup of tea. If you’re interested in a story about the supposedly extinct Tasmanian tiger, and there’s a little bit of Ghost And The Darkness in you. You can’t lose with the cast — Willem Dafoe, Frances O’Connor, and Sam Neill. And damn, it looks gorgeous.

This contest was over as soon as Dafoe reared his gloriously grotesque, universe-splitting face.

Willy, listen, you don't need the rifle, mate. Point your face towards your prey, focus on the animal, split that face asunder with a smile and watch it drop dead in an instant.

Little known fact: every time Willem Dafoe ejaculates and makes his ejaculation face, somewhere a black hole is born.

Did I hear that right? Did they send a scientist in search of an extremely rare animal and tell him to bring back organs?

I have so much approbation for everything Zeke just wrote that I don't knew where to start. I'm going with YES! and proceed to

Hmm! I find Willem Dafoe strangely attractive.

Between that statement and your interest in Ed Harris, Paddy, I am seriously starting to wonder about you. It's like I've never even met you.

The Cold Light of Day looks like every other thriller from the past 10 years. Despite the shirtless offer, pass.

7500, enjoyed the trailer, but probably not enough to see the movie.

The Hunter, intriguing.

Willem Dafoe looks like that borderline skeevy uncle that always pours too much Jack Daniels in his eggnog at family Christmas gatherings and gets too loud. He's the dude that smells like Old Spice trying to cover up the fact that he hasn't showered in six days.

Is Willem Dafoe turning into Charlton Heston?

Hey, that means they can remake Planet of the Apes! Wouldn't you love to see Dafoe swearing about damn dirty apes and- Oh, wait, I forgot, they already got legendary actor Marky Mark to step into that role.

No idea who Henry Cavill is, but I'll watch pretty much anything with Bruce Willis in it. He's one of the few megastars who seems like he's fun rather than an insufferable blowhard.

The Hunter is already out on DVD, I believe.

Willy, listen, you don't need the rifle, mate. Point your face towards your prey, focus on the animal, split that face asunder with a smile and watch it drop dead in an instant.

He's a Krenshar!

Mrs. Julien:

Ed Harris sans McCain make-up is one hot dude. He has an awesome body, just the right amount of weathering in his face, twinkling blue eyes, pouty sexy lips, not afraid to tell the Hair Club for Men to go screw themselves with their own plugs, and a smile that rocks my world.

We met a tiger! But...it was murdered.

The Grudge creeped me the fuck out: I love that. I'll try and keep some cash around for when 7500 comes out.

The Hunter for sure!

Aww, thanks, Mrs J.

The Willem Dafoe one looks interesting, although I certainly hope they don“t make the Tasmanian tiger out to be some kind of dangerous killer. It looks like it a bit in the trailer.

I'm with PaddyDog on Ed Harris...and Dafoe, actually. It's the ugly-hot phenomenon for Dafoe (Ed Harris is just pure, smoldering, a-little-too-old-for-me-which-makes-it-even-better hot).
