In October, for two short weeks, Toy Story and Toy Story 2 will be re-released into theaters, in 3D, as a nice way to get the world enthused for Toy Story 3, due out next June (as though we needed another reason to go see it). As part of the promotion, Disney has released a trailer for the special event. And here it is:

And in case you missed it, here’s the teaser trailer for Toy Story 3:

What are you going to whine about now?

And, because I feel like pressing my luck in giving you something you can’t possibly whine about, here’s Spinal Tap from last night’s “The Daily Show.” Give it up for “Sex Farm.”

No whining?

FROM MY COLD DEAD HANDS.

COLD. DEAD. HANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's no crying in baseball, but there is no no whining in Pajibaland. Deal. We whine because we care. Really. That's it.

Posted by: slower lower at July 29, 2009 11:04 AM

Oh lord, that song is just so WRONG.

I always get so bored when they do musical stuff on TDS and the Report. In fact, I think Movits on the Report the other day was the first time I've ever actually sat through one of the performances. And then I immediately downloaded their album.

Michael McKean's looking rough and that blonde wig does him no favors. I prefer him as cousin Louie.

Really? I love cracked-out old-fart Spinal Tap. And especially the spoken interlude (does that count as beat-boxing?). Them looking like hell is kind of the point. It's the Back From The Dead album tour. Come on, people.

Ok, so no whining, but bitching is OK right? Cause I'm about to cut some motherfuckers.

Oh, since I own both Toy Stories, I won't be shelling out my hard pimped cash to see it again.

Posted by: admin at July 29, 2009 11:32 AM

Lindsey....your comment suggests that you've never heard that song.

Aww bitch, all these rules!!!

The husband and I were very disappointed in this new, boringer incarnation of Spinal Tap as they appeared on TDS last night. These are not the same guys who turn their amps up to 11. Nuh-uh.
They were still pretty funny in the interview though thank god.

Posted by: JenVegas at July 29, 2009 11:42 AM

JenVegas, I know a lot of other rock acts who turned their amps up to 11, say, 25 years ago. Not a lot of people rock as hard in their 60's as they did in their 30's. I'm still giving them credit for being hilarious old farts.

You just make my heart happy, Dustin Rowles. Thank you!

I hate that I know I'll pay to watch the Toy Stories in 3D. Because I love those movies like I love my unborn children, cheesy doritos and chocolate.

Posted by: figgy at July 29, 2009 1:16 PM

I didn't care for the song, either. I do love the Spinal Tap DVD though. They do the commentary in character as if they are looking back at home movies. It's as funny as the actual movie. It's like getting 2 movies for the price of one. Best DVD commentary ever.

Posted by: BWeaves at July 29, 2009 1:18 PM

BWeaves, you are dead on about the commentary. It's hysterical. Some of the cut scenes are great too.

"He's dead now."
"No, he's not. You can't just keep saying people are dead."
"Well, I sort of have to now, don't I?"

That being said, the DS appearance last night wasn't so great. It felt like the free-form jazz thing they did at the amusement park - after the puppet show, of course.

Posted by: ponch at July 29, 2009 1:28 PM

I can't believe all of these people whining about Tap on TDS. Apparently, Ian was right - their appeal is becoming more selective.

Posted by: Edith at July 29, 2009 3:33 PM

This 3D trend is absolute bullshit, yeah, it is neat, but it is not worth me shelling out extra money to see it. They are trying to brainwash the kids into thinking everything has to be in 3D so they can charge us $15 to see their movie. Everybody wake up and smell the deception! Attica! Attica! Attica!
