The new Muppet movie trailer is here and it’s everything your childish heart could hope for. The cameos alone are enough to get me to the theater but I’m also intrigued by Tina Fey Boris-And-Natasha-ing her way through the movie. Ty Burrell’s Inspector Clouseau doesn’t look bad either. The plot? Well it resembles something straight out of Wallace And Gromit. So, basically it’s a pop culture bouillabaisse and that’s what the Muppets do best. So hold on to your ushanka, here are Muppets Most Wanted.

  • Uriah_Creep

Spring 2014??? But I want it NOW!

  • Conor

Looks like a lot of fun, love me some Muppet action.

And Tina Fey with a comedy Russian accent? Well, let's add that to the fetish pile.

That being said, I'm dreading the bits in "Dublin".

Because we still only have steam trains, apparently. Will there be leprechauns? And potatoes? Will the wee pixie folk and the hilarious bumbling drunk, played by an English actor with an offensive Irish accent, help them?

I need a drink. NO! Must... not... perpetuate... stereotype!

  • BWeaves

OK, so this one looks like it actually has a plot to go along with the story.

  • Sara_Tonin00

I could do without Ricky Gervais (I can just about always do without Gervais) but this looks like a return to silly fun for The Muppets.

Fun assortment of cameos there, too.

  • Parsnip

This is good news...very good news....excellent, in fact. YIPPEE!

  • SVR

Seriously, why isn't Hiddleston in more stuff? He's an incredibly talented actor in addition to being yacht-sized boat loads of fun, but he's got very little coming up (according to IMDB). What the hell, Hollywood, et al.?

  • fracas

    He might be doing theatre.

  • SVR

He is doing Coriolanus, but I think that only lasts a few months.

  • kirivinokur

No sign (yet) of Selena Gomez. Good start.

The Muppets are one of only three things on earth that can tamp down my cruelty and cynicism and inspire childlike delight.

  • Aaron Schulz

yeah, i was grinning like a doofus the whole time. Fozzie is such a damn delight

  • BendinIntheWind

HAHAHA, you think you can hide my beloved Hiddles?? THINK AGAIN, TRAILER PEOPLE!

  • lowercase_ryan

Tina Fey as Natasha is the fetish I never knew I had.

  • NateMan

Yep. I want to see her in nothing but the hat. And maybe some thigh highs, just to keep it classy.

  • lowercase_ryan

fur coat. fake fur, whatever, just the coat...and the hat. and classy thigh highs.

  • Dennis Albert Ramirez

agreed. her accent on the SNL Girls skit helps too

  • Legally Insignificant

This looks awesome. Also, it makes me want to re-watch Ernest Goes to Jail. So it's a win-win.
