This Town Needs an Enema: Dark Knight Rises Footage

The MTV Movie Awards were last night. I’m sure that you’re waiting on pins and needles to hear about who won what, but that’s just not happening in this post on account of complete indifference to the cinematic judgements of the network that brought us “The Hills” and “Sixteen and Pregnant.” But they did one thing right. They invited Christopher Nolan and he showed a fantastic trailer for Dark Knight Rises.

Said Nolan when introducing the new trailer: “Every great story demands a great ending. And The Dark Knight Rises is our best possible attempt to put a great ending to this story on screen.”

Marvel might have gotten the first billion of the summer, but I think DC might just get the last. No wonder GI Joe got bumped. Between these two and Spider-Man, there’s not going to be a dime left for anything else.

Kay... that's enough... this all feels a bit over-marketed. Kind of wish they'd just let us stew in our own juices instead of showing more and more spoilers.

I'm still not sure I saw anything new in the reveal which is a good thing, I guess.

So looks like Anne Hathaway's approach to Catwoman is to be in bitch mode the entire movie. Can't wait for that.

And Bale choked up at the end which led to me choking up. Damn you, Ledger.

I am being underwhelmed by the Batman campaign, and I'm happy, because I don't want to raise crazy expectations. although to be fair, I had the highest expectations for the avengers and the were met and surpassed

Frankly it looks a bit meh. But I really hope that I am wrong. I loved the first two movies.
