The Red Band, 'Green Room' Trailer from the Director of 'Blue Ruin' Means a Rainbow of Terror for You and Me

Blue Ruin director Jeremy Saulnier is one of those people who knows how to grab and take hold of that dark feeling sitting in the pit of your stomach, make it slowly expand until it feels like something you want to pitch from your body but don’t know how. That fight or flight thing kicks in and the tingles crawl from midway up your arm all the way down to your fingertips; your toes involuntarily wiggle, you’re holding your breath and that stomach thing feels like it’s going to swallow you whole…

Then you realize, all you’re doing is watching a trailer. This trailer.

You have to watch it again because you saw some shadowy things that you’re not quite sure you saw correctly, and even though it feels like the terror might swallow you whole, there’s something enticing in the fear that you can’t quite describe. That’s what Jeremy Saulnier does.

“This’ll be over soon, gentleman.” Yeah, that’s what we’re afraid of.

Patrick Stewart is the leader of a white supremacist group that has trapped members of a band who inadvertently witness a murder; Green Room also stars Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Callum Turner, Alia Shawkat and Macon Blair. We must suffer in wait until April 15th.
