Ladies, gentlemen, some unique combination of both. I give you the trailer for Ticked-Off Trannies With Knives. I’d write something clever, but really. It’s ticked-off trannies. And they have knives.

You’re welcome.

The best part of this trailer was: "La Luna productions proudly presents". Someone's proud of this?

Why even post a trailer for a campy low-budget revenge/exploit send-up about transsexuals here? There's a good chance that very few of us will get the joke and express any interest in seeing the film. It's film news, yes, and rather amusing at that, but I think this particular film probably crosses too many boundaries for this site. Exploit films, even tongue-in-cheek ones, are a sensitive issue around here, and I'll leave it at that, lest I be called some nasty names again.

I'll see it for a few reasons. One, it's a type of film I've enjoyed in the past (campy revenge drama in a Tarantino, self-referential vein). Two, it caused a minor blip of controversy when GLAAD tried to get the film barred from festival screenings for sensationalizing anti-transgender violence and I want to see what the big deal is (other than using the term "trannies" in the title). Three, it's called Ticked-Off Trannies with Knives. That alone is reason to see it. I love to watch this kind of film blind and see if it delivers the promise of the title. You'd be surprised how often something this specific does not.

If you watch this while eating bacon, you can spend 3 minutes living admin's favorite sexual fantasy.

I wouldn't use those knives to cut my bacon. They're trannies, for Godtopus' sake. You KNOW what those knives have been used for.

Robert,

Just let it happen, man. You don't get to call your shot like Babe Ruth. If people want to rip your face off in the comments for wanting to see a low-budget, chicks-with-dicks revenge porn movie, just let the hate wash over you like a hyperwaxed post-op slathered in KY. Trannies and Friends of Trannies (TM) are a giving bunch until you cross them. Nothing you said seemed overly antagonistic, so I think you're safe. But what do I know? I'm just some guy who can't help but admire some of those dudes' big ol' titties.

Fuck, Tracer, I told you that in confidence! Now all the he/shes are on to me.

I'd say these women are beautiful, they're far better actresses than I expected to see, and while there's certainly Glaad-concerning levels of violence, these ladies are absolutely owning it and showing everyone what's what.

The trailer has a nice approach to hitting the marks of the stereotypes the audience is expecting to see (cattiness, tittering humor, and drag shows) but there's far more gravitas and respect behind the camera than I've seen in any other film presentation, and I really like seeing it. You can easily sense who is making the film, and whose side they are on.

I have a good friend, going on twenty years knowing her, who does her own webshows, movies, hosts a million events, and basically runs a good section of Vancouver's nightlife. She's incredibly accomplished and successful at it, but I've always wondered exactly why our amazing ladygirls are so viciously self critical and often use such negative tones in their work. It's like a defensive attitude that is set to project loudly as far as the audience can hear - sort of saying - "you can't say anything we haven't heard and your shit can't hurt me". And she's been hurt more times than you could count.

WE like to see zombies get taken out on this site, assholes (see Death Proof etc) and all manner of things get their comeuppance. It's equally cool (to me) to see the queens get real on their attackers.

It's also good to remember that your typical 'transvestite' (I like to say ladygirl) takes with her both the passion of a woman and the power of a man. You push her too far and you may as well schedule your stiletto-based ballsack surgery asap.

Obviously not gonna be good, but wasn't as shockingly bad as I'd expect. And it certainly belongs on this site as much as any other bit of torture porn/human centipede BS.

I'm a little torn because I know some of those trannies...
