The Lannisters Aren't the Only Ones Who Pay Their Debts: Here's the Final 'Game of Thrones' Season 4 Trailer

In preparation for its April 6th return, Game of Thrones HBO has been ramping up promotions all over Facebook and Twitter. Lucky for those of us stuck at home, they’ve followed up the New York City premiere live stream with this final new trailer, which features INXS’ Devil Inside as performed by London Grammar. That’s enough from me—have a look:

*cue Jaime’s best Jan Brady voice* “Cersei, Cersei, Cersei!”

Oh lordy, I cannot wait. Neither can Steven.

Cindy Davis, (Twitter) may be the only one who wishes people would stop reworking her favorite 80s tunes.

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

Please tell me Sansa gets smarter or is minimalized this season. HBO is running an insufferable ad with her whining "I lie awake all night thinking about what they did to my family."

Aria is plotting revenge and Sansa is complaining about insomnia...

  • Maddy

Sansa is such a whiner, I mean what does she have to complain about except being married into the family that killed multiple members of hers, and now being an orphan. She should totally just get over it.

  • Maddy

How about because all of the Stark kids and their reaction to what's just happened to their family is important?

  • Kim Stephens

Plotting is giving her a bit too much credit. Fantasizing about it, yes, but she's no closer to killing a Lannister than Sansa is.

  • stella

Dude, if you lived in the vicinity of joffrey would you do anything rebellous?

  • Blake

    Sansa built her own Dreamatorium!

Is it in Winterfell? So its all just a dream? That explains everything!

Or at Kings Landing...? Sad times.

  • Maddy

It was all a dream, the Starks are really still all at Winterfell playing with their direwolves. I think I like this version better.

  • Blake

Yeah but if it's a "dream" Sansa may need counselling.

  • PooPooNumber2

stannis! stannis! stannis! - not enough stannis in the show

  • Love that GoT used Florence and the Machine for a trailer last year and a Florence and the Machine clone this year.

  • Genevieve Burgess

If you're referring to the season 3 trailer, that was a song called "Bones" by MS MR. You can still argue that they sound like Florence + the Machine but the big difference there is I'm pretty certain you can get MS MR for way cheaper, licensing wise.

  • I was thinking of the Season 2 trailer I suppose -- Seven Devils with F+TM

  • Genevieve Burgess

Got it. You just said "last year" and I happened to really like that song so I knew it off the top of my head.

  • stella

Wait. Did i just hear that Brianne is going after Arya? They might have scenes together?

  • freetickles

Edit- mis-read your question and erased my response to avoid a spoiler by implication.

  • stella

Omg will they bdcome best friends and team up to rescue Sansa? That would make me happier than most things.

  • BWeaves

    It won't play for me.

  • Sara_Tonin00

Me either. Not sure if it's a Vimeo or what (my computer seems to hate those) - but here's YouTube link:

  • Maddy

It's probably just the impression from the trailer which hopefully doesn't reflect the season, but I'm not sure I like that Daenerys is this dragon lady who make grand pronouncements like 'do what I want because I have dragons'.

No Jaime! Stay away from Cersei. Brienne is way more awesome!

  • Keith Ballard

If you think back you'll probably remember a ton of times in the previous seasons where she's making all of these grand statements and bold claims. There were character moments in those seasons too, but those were never what made the trailers.

  • Maddy

I'm willing to reserve judgement to see what they do with her this season - I think it's just because they've used that quote of hers in every trailer. They did a much better job with her in season 3 than season 2 (some of which is just because the source material was better) so we'll see

  • Robert Sanchez III

    Cindy you're my favorite!

  • Too kind!

  • Uriah_Creep

Cindy Davis, (Twitter) may be the only one who wishes people would stop reworking her favorite 80s tunes.

No, you're not. Also, my favorite 60s and 70s tunes.

  • Enrique del Castillo

I agree, as much as I like Devil Inside, the song is too cheesy for a self serious trailer.

  • Jenn TheYellowDart

Ew. You old people are gross!
At 35, I'm not old yet, right?

  • Uriah_Creep

Nah, you still have a couple of good years before things really start oozing, stretching, wrinkling, drooping, falling off, and generally sucking. Enjoy it while you can!

Now get the hell off my lawn. i'm trying to shovel snow here.

  • Well, let's just say that if you decided to have a baby, they'd categorize you as "advanced maternal age."

  • Sara_Tonin00

It burns, all right, it burns.

  • Monica

I can't wait to quote the pants off this season. I really want to tell someone in my office that they "can live in my new world or die in their old one." Probably when someone asks me to do an intern training or something...

  • Duvall

Oh, Jamie is a middle child, isn't he? Makes sense.

  • foolsage

Cersei's the older of twins, yes. Jaime is the first-born son.
