That's What I Love About 'Sharknado' Movies. I Keep Getting Older, They Stay the Same Level of Suck

We’re a few weeks out from the premiere of Sharknado 2, the sequel to a movie which was created for the sole purpose of being hate-watched and live tweeted. For the full scope of what we’re dealing with here, here are a few fun facts.

-The full name of the movie is Sharknado 2: The Second One. They came up with this title after opening naming up to all of Twitter.

-The cast includes the old players: Ian Ziering and Tara Reid’s new face, but they’ve also added some new gems: Judd Hirsch, Andy Dick, Vivica A. Fox, and Mark McGrath. Because when the sharknado hits, you’re gonna want Sugar Ray on your side.

-In the trailer, Ian Ziering gives this incredible Bill Pullman-esque speech:

They’re sharks, they’re scary. No one wants to get eaten. But I’ve been eaten! And I’m here to tell you it takes a lot more than that to take a good man down — a lot more than that to bring a New Yorker down!
-Ziering’s character’s name is Finn Shepard. Finn. Shepard. GET IT? DO YOU?

I really wanted the first Sharknado to be a good hate-watch, but it turned into a boring sleep-watch. I think this one is going to be a solid don’t-watch.
