Stanley Tucci And Patricia Clarkson Together Again

How excited are you by the prospect of these two gracing your television screen? Really excited? Go ahead, spell it with your peas, I’ll wait. In case you missed their entire feature length-stealing turn in Easy A, here are two of our greatest character actors, Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson, doing what they do best; charming your Costco pants/skirts/jodhpurs right off:

Ok, take a moment and rerobe yourself while I tell you that Tucci will be hosting a television show called “Vine Talk” on PBS where he and his charming actor friends will drink wine, talk about wine and, one can only hope, get a little tipsy in the process. The promo clip for the the show, which I’ve included below, is heavy on the Clarkson (and Woodchuck Todd!). What I wouldn’t give to be a fly in that particular glass of Chardonnay. The show premieres in April and will feature other actor guests such as John Lithgow. (Sidebar! On a recent episode of Doug Benson’s Podcast, they referred to Lithgow as “Johnny Go-Go”…to his face. And he didn’t trinity kill them. Lithgow rhymes with “golf pro,” you see. I would like to make “Johnny Go-Go” a thing. Who’s with me?)

Joanna Robinson once met the absolutely luminous Patricia Clarkson, who we all know deserves to be more than a character actress. I suggested, at one point, that she tap dance…and she did. Shuffle ball changed my life.

Joanna - I am quite jealous of you at this moment.

These two were such icky (oh, yes...icky) parents in Easy A. Who would want to be "girlfriends" with their mom, or dad for that matter, so you can giggle about sex and boys? Never put these two together again. I still get nightmares.

Ms. Clarkson would be on my extremely limited Chicks I Would Do in a Pinch List. She is so talented, radiates intelligence and has a smokin' bod.

Emma Thompson is the only other person on said list.

There was a time when Tucci had one of the best bodies in Hollywood.

That kind of got away from me.

Ahem.

They are both very talented and elevate the quality of whatever they deign to grace with their individual and collective presence(s).

Where is the Pinch? My "Your Body is Changing" book never said anything about that.

I like to imagine myself as someone who appreciates wine, but I know in my heart that I am not. I'm the type of person who chugs box wine to get drunk. My version of fine cheese is a bag of Doritos.

They are totally my fake celebrity parents. We have dinner and Netflix nights. The wine flows freely. But I pick the movies. No The Bucket List under my roof.

Wishlisted! I can't wait to pretend I know something about wine.

I don't drink (except occasionally 3/4 of a beer), but I'll watch the hell out of this! I would watch anything with Clarkson and Tucci ESPECIALLY if they're anything like their characters in Easy A!

I can only hope and pray that El Tucci gets drunk enough to disrobe on camera. Please, God.

For me, Stanley Tucci and Patricia Clarkson were the ONLY good things about Easy A. I HATED that movie and am still confused about why people liked it so much. So, yeah, I'll watch Vine Talk even though I have no clue about wine. Maybe I'll learn something.

I LOVED Easy A, and they were fabulous. Their relationship with their kids is very much like the relationship I have with my children. So, suck it, haters. Honor students, I have, HONOR FREAKIN' STUDENTS!!

So, yeah, I'd like to see them do more than a wino-chat show together...
