Where the hell has Ewan McGregor been? One of our favorite actors, he’s been far too scarce, but Obi-Wan’s finally back where he belongs…In Our Faces. Even better, Ewan’s returning to his bad boy roots, starring in an Australian crime thriller as “public enemy number one.” With a young, indebted protégé (Brenton Thwaites) at his disposal, McGregor’s Brendon sets up a huge heist, but in this new clip, it looks like he’s got his hands full keeping that young whippersnapper in line.

Here’s the trailer:

Written and directed by Julius Avery, Son of a Gun also stars Nash Edgerton (Joel’s brother), Alicia Vikander, Matt Nable and Jacek Koman, but let’s face it, we’re in it for McGregor. The film premiered at Cinefest Oz, and opens stateside January 16th.

Beardy!
