Shark Night 3D Trailer: This Is My Kind Of Stupid

Oh Lord, does this look fucking dumb. But not, say, Rob Schneider dumb. This looks Pirhanna 3D dumb. Snakes On A Plane dumb. You know, the good kind of dumb. Like what would happen if the guys over at SyFy or The Asylum had more brains, a wicked sense of humor, and a budget.

Have no illusions: the trailer for Shark Night 3D does not look like a great movie. But it may well be a pretty fuckin’ fun movie. It’s got pretty girls, handsome guys, lovely scenery, and some serious, nasty, balls-out shark-related chaos.

I’m so down with that, it’s not even funny.

With all the megasharks and flying piranhas and sharktopuses and giant squids and fish poop in it, you'd think people would have learned by now never to go near the water.

Sometimes the work blocker is a blessing. A great, big, void space, "Access Denied" blessing.

Aren't those nurse sharks in the photo and therefore harmless? They still give me the heebie jeebies though. The heebies and the jeebies and all of their friends and relations. (Why does the deeply, deeply, icthyophobic/sea creature phobic person know what kind of shark they are? Know thy enemy, man. Know. Thy. Enemy.)

Fun! Also, I can't stand the guy wearing the hat. I was hoping he'd get eaten first. But no, it's the black guy who goes first. He's no LL Cool J, obviously.

Meh, it doesn't look as fun as Piranha 3D, it just looks like Hostel with sharks, which I guess makes sense given the producer credit. Loved Piranha, but I can't say I'm as excited for this shark-fueled torture porn.
