Fear, Suffering, Death. You Haven't Seen Anything Yet. Blah Blah Blah Blah

saw-3d-teaser.jpg

Here’s the brand spanking new teaser trailer for the 22nd installment in the Saw franchise, this one in four dimensions, if you include the movie theater you’re sitting in. It was released yesterday at Comic-Con, and aren’t you jealous you weren’t there to see it first? This one is the final Saw, because it says so right there on the trailer. Of course, if it does really well, it’ll be the unfinal.

Oh, fuck you Saw franchise. Take a header off a really tall cheese sandwich. Choke on a brick.

Well, SOMEbody woke up in a pissy mood, Mr. Frownypants.

Now if you can just maintain that kind of rage for about 27 more paragraphs -- loooooong paragraphs -- and, um, for the rest of your life, you'll BEGIN to approach the awesomelyness of one (1) TK rage.

I say, go for it.

This can't be the final installment of the franchise.
My understanding is that in the last film they actually kill the entire audience, thus ending any demand for another episode.

If the above it true, what's that do for DVD sales?

Posted by: Kahntahmp at July 23, 2010 9:59 AM

The DVDs are marketed to the families as memorials.

Posted by: clocker at July 23, 2010 10:04 AM

There won't be DVDs by the time the final SAW movie is released. They just beam the movie directly into your head for a fee.

The Traps Come Alive

The fuck? What does that mean? Do they gain self-awareness and unleash all their pent-up, down-trodden, ball-kicking hatred on their creator? Or maybe they set themselves and there's no evil, behind-the-scenes mastermind?

Or maybe, just maybe, the marketing team vomited one too many hyperbolic phrases during some drug-fueled, multiple sacrifice, brain-storming session...

And yippee! 3D will make it feel like the gore and sharp, stabby things are coming right at you! Still won't make it a good film. Hopefully, enough of the audiences watching this will suffer from vertigo, lose their lunches all over the floor, piss off the theater owners, and force a massive recall of this product, like a cinema version of Toyota.

I dunno. At least 3D has the potential for an incredibly campy Saw.

I actually like the Saw films, but my God...end this thing already!!!! The last one was the first one I didn't see in the theater (and didn't watch on DVD until someone loaned it to me), because they're so boring now. Pretty bad when people are lopping off limbs and tearing of slabs of flesh and you thinking "Oh, this again?" *yawn*

"you're thinking..."

Damn, Pajiba..."edit" button...think about it.

Posted by: Case at July 23, 2010 10:58 AM

I've only seen the first one. I liked it mainly because Cary Elwes was in it.

I just saw a picture of him and he's really fat now.

This isn't the last entry of the series. The last entry is called "I Saw on Your Grave" and its about a wronged moviegoer that gets its revenge on the filmmakers of a torture porn movie in cruel and revolting (but apropriate) ways.

I'm with malikvlc. There's no way this doesn't end in theaters covered in puke.

sooooooo.... the deathtraps become skynet?

Didn't Jigsaw die in Saw III? And this is the what...4th installment after the killer has died? Ok.

I don't care what anyone else says. I enjoy my End Of October Cheese.
This can't be the end. NOOOOooooooo!!!!

But the 3-D poster in yesterday's Pajiba Love was pretty cool.

Two things I can guarantee you about this film.

One, Betsy Russell is the opening victim as the last film sets her up for that role.

Two, this is not the last Saw. Last I checked, they were signed on through 8 when they inked the contract for 6.

I hated the movie Saw. I hate its spawn. I hate everything it stands for.

Except that it means that Tobin Bell will have a nice retirement cushion. Tobin Bell rules.
