You guys like that Shutter Island trailer? Pretty good, huh? That Marty, he knows how to direct a camera. But I’ll tell you what. Shutter Island ain’t got nothing on the trailer for this movie, Road Trip II: Beer Pong.

Oh, god. I can’t even pretend. Look: This is messed up. Road Trip is seminal, man. One of the few decent college movies in existence (most the good ones are about high-school). It was kind of stupid, and Tom Green nearly ruined the thing. But Road Trip still remains one of the best hangover theater movies in existence. Flip past it on TBS, and your next two hours are shot. Nine years since the original (and not coincidentally, right after the original’s director, Todd Phillips, released The Hangover), I thought we’d made it past the point of sequel. Apparently not. So, back to Ithaca they go.DJ Qualls is the only original member to return, and the movie comes from Steve Rash (Son in Law). And with a name like Rash, you know we’re talking about quality here.

This may be a good time to bring back the real-time reviews.

Yet most of it was filmed in Georgia. I watched it with my mom, of all people, when we came upon it on cable. "Hey look, UGA!...Gwinnett Diner!" Thrilling, I tell ya.

I'm surprised it's taken nine years. I'd expect them to be on Road Trip V, The Naked Van by now. Of course DJ Qualls would still have been in every one.

I already saw Beerfest, but might download this one for the boobies scene with the phone sex girl switching into On-Star mode. This one has serious potential for a braindead night - it'll save me from rewatching Dude Where's My Car?..

Some of this was filmed at my personal watering hole -- Twain's in Decatur, GA. Ownership shut the bar down for a week and didn't pay the bartenders and servers for the time off (despite making a fair penny on the deal, I'm sure). Those who did get some work got attitude and lousy tips from the cast and crew. Nobody, NOBODY, fucks with my bartender. This can go spit.
