Adam Sandler in Baby Daddy

Boobity Boobity Doo! / Dustin Rowles

Trailers | June 17, 2009 | Comments (21)

You know the drill by now: Adam Sandler has a new comedy coming out this fall called Re-Do. And Eddie Murphy and Adam Sandler are in some sort of life-long competition to see who can sink the lowest to appeal to the toddlers. In Re-Do, it looks like Sandler may have finally ended the competition by sinking lower than even Eddie Murphy is capable of — he’s stooped to playing a talking baby. Yeah: Through the magic of CGI, a baby’s head has been replaced by Adam Sandler’s.

I’ll give you a minute to process that, and while you’re contemplating your method of suicide, look over the logline:

Craig, a workaholic lawyer, never made time for his relationships. Alone and depressed on his 40th birthday, he wonders about the life he could have lead. But be careful what you wish for…you might just find yourself in diapers! When a wizard gives Craig a second chance at his youth, he discovers that sometimes it takes becoming a baby to learn how to be a man.

Seriously: I have no idea why they didn’t just call it Baby Daddy. It seems obvious to me. Here’s a clip, wherein you can also discover that Sandler has even managed to bring Justin Long down to his level.

Dustin.

Honey.

It's a fake trailer from the movie Funny People, which features Adam Sandler as a sellout comedian who makes shitty movies.

I admit, it's fucking repulsive; but it's not a real movie.

Drink some warm milk, or maybe a Zoloft smoothie or something, and calm down.

Well thanks a lot. I was reaching for a spoon before I remembered I can't gouge out my mind's eye. Instead I think I'll go lay in the shower and cry until my therapist can call me back.

This is probably a joke article to go along with a joke trailer, but it would be WAY funnier if it wasn't.

Oh, God. Thank you, Jerce. I almost vomited.

"Little Man" was horrible enough.

I haven't read the review or watched the trailer or whatever it is, because I have to say that the picture is freaking me the FUCK OUT.
Do.not.like.

Whether this is real or not, the true tragedy is that SOME MORON PUT ADAM SANDLER IN ANOTHER FUCKING MOVIE.

Weep tears of real blood over that, why don't you.

I... can't... go on.... Metallica's... "Fade To Black... playing... in... brain....

I have lost the will to live
Simply nothing more to give
There is nothing more for me
I need the end to set me free

Is it just me, or does the photo bear a striking resemblance to Shia LeBouf's oiled, shaven chimp photo we saw earlier today?

Posted by: ShinyKate at June 17, 2009 9:50 PM

Didn't we already see Click?

Posted by: lordhelmet at June 17, 2009 10:09 PM

so, do you think sandler and his buddies smoke a fat one, do some mushrooms and come up with assinine movie ideas? COME ON!

the photo alone will haunt me for months. i CANNOT bring myself to watch the clip.

i have to go drink copiously to scrub this image from poor little Brian up there in my cranium. Between this and the Bazooka Joe threat, I'm afraid my fickle friend Brian will have finally met his match.

sorry little dude.

Excuse me God, I'm ready for the apocalypse now. You can stop with the 'signs.'

Still. scarred. for. life.

This movie sucks.
:(

Posted by: Michelle at June 17, 2009 11:54 PM

I think it's rather clever, self-aware, and self-afacing. Don't think I spelled that right, but I don't give a shit. Either way, it drags that shitty remote control movie to its extreme and I was thinking it was too amusing for something written by the type of person who writes this stuff, and then, lo and behold, it's a spoof from Funny People, which looks like... well it looks like Punch Line. And I liked Punch Line, goddamnit, although The Money Pit was better.

Posted by: puppetDoug at June 18, 2009 1:39 AM

Yeah PuppetDoug makes a good point, its a pretty funny nod to the comedians, not unlike Sandler himself, or of course, Murphy, who reach a certain point when being really funny or controversial becomes too boring or too much work, and they just want the pay check.

fuck OFF that shit isn't real

nadine, I actually said those exact words while reading this.
Please don't talk about it again, Dustin. Adam Sandler is probably scowering the web to see who's talking about him, and the mere fact that you mentioned it will probably convince him that it's worth making a reality.

Posted by: jamiepants at June 18, 2009 9:34 AM

I understand that even asking this question is giving this abomination too much thought, but what the bloody hell is with that Gilbert Gottfried voice? Sandler didn't used to sound like that all the time, did he?

Also... Jesus Christ. This is just terrible. If that trailer were a meal, it would be a shit sammich with broken glass and a warm glass of phlegm.

Posted by: Cletus at June 18, 2009 11:57 AM

Granted, Sandler makes shitty movies, but I think (at least to me) it was pretty obvious this was a fake (the fact that it's from funnyordie.com is kind of a dead giveaway). Do you people just wait all day to complain about something?

Posted by: henchman for hire at June 18, 2009 1:50 PM

This would probably be funny if I didn't completely buy the idea of Sandler really making this film. As it is, I'm just fucking relieved that Justin Long isn't really in that movie.

Posted by: Steve at June 19, 2009 3:47 AM

Actually, the thing that gave it away for me wasn't the whole Adam Sandler's head-on-a-baby-situation, I mean, an actual movie like that doesn't seem like something he WOULDN'T do, does it? No, it was when Justin Long said 'im just kind of winging it here, pal'.... It was just so...off. For him, not for Sandler obviously.
