A New Trailer for Michael Mann's Public Enemies
If the first Public Enemies trailer didn't work you up into a big enough lather of wet lust or man-crush envy, perhaps this second trailer will do the trick. It's similar to the first one, only a few things are mixed around, and there's a little more Marion Cottilard, which is OK by me. She's like rainbows and Rachel Weisz. The film still looks fantastic, though is it me, or is the look and feel of Public Enemies weirdly similar to a big-budget episode of "E! True Hollywood Story"?
Public Enemies is scheduled for release on July 1st. And man, I hope that Mann took some dramatic liberties with the story. I'd love nothing more than to see Dillinger take out Melvin Purvis and J. Edgar Hoover. Wishful revisionism, I suppose.
