They Should Make Bank on Product Placement

Perrier’s Bounty is an Irish film that made the rounds at film festivals last year and is slated to get a wider release later this year. That sounds awfully familiar. The last couple weeks you can’t throw a rock on movie sites without hitting some European film getting wide release after the film festival circuit. Must be something in their nutty metric water. In any case, the trailer just got released to stoke the already feverish anticipation.

The trailer is entertaining enough, I just get the feeling that they basically took the Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels template, smoothed the edges out a bit, and forgot to bring along the Statham. Mind you, it might still be perfectly entertaining, since it’s a good template, but there seems little here breaking with the framework of kids with accents getting in over their heads with wacky mob hijinks.

"wacky mob hijinks" - that's wonderful.
If I had a dvd collection that was organized in any way whatsoever, that would be a category.
