So Many Puns I Can’t See Straight

Hot Fuzz / Daniel Carlson

Trailers | February 17, 2009 | Comments (28)

We originally wrote about the teaser for Lesbian Vampire Killers back in January. For those who don’t remember, well, the title pretty much says it all, though I again hasten to clarify that the movie’s about people who kill lesbian vampires, not lesbians who kill vampires. (Dangling modifiers are a nightmare even without involving the undead.) Well, the latest international trailer is out, and this time it’s full-length and completely NSFW, complete with boozing, beheadings, and a British buddy pair clearly meant to recall the idea of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. It opens in the U.K. on March 20, and one can only hope a stateside release won’t be far behind. This could be the next great midnight movie:

I can think of only one group of people who'd want to kill lesbian vampires. Bitchy jealous cheerleaders. They always hated the pretty Goth girls.

Fuck 'em.

Didn't Buffy go gay in one of the post-series comics?

Posted by: Kevin Longrie at February 17, 2009 11:31 AM

i'll take a bitchy cheerleader over a goth girl any day. pretty goth girl is an oxymoron.

Movie night itinerary:

5:00pm - Liquor & food throughout (Macho Nachos optional)

6:30pm - Lesbian Vampire Killers

8:00pm - Zombie Strippers

10:00pm - Bitch Slap

12:00pm - Call ambulance due to liquor & Macho Nacho consumption, inability to breath due to laughter and awesomeness overdose.

I'd say a lesbian vampire killer is an oxymoron. Who wants to stop that? Only in the movies.

The so "bad it's good" quotient will be directly proportional to the amount of tit on display.

On Friday night, we rented Zombies vs. Vampires. It should've been called 'Lesbian Vampires Who Never Fucking Fight the Zombies' as the zombies never fought, and the vampires just went gay at random moments. It was bullshit. Wildly laughable, though, so I guess it was entertaining bullshit.
This looks pretty rad, though.

"Pride and Prejudice and Lesbian Vampires."

Gold.

Those lesbian vampires seem to squirt a lot.

There's a Lohan joke there somewhere, but damnit if I can't think of one....

Lohan was originally offered the script, but the writers were unable to come up with a viable means of allowing her character to purge.

Also, she wasn't talented enough.

Also, she wasn't talented enough.

Or a lesbian.

"Those lesbian vampires seem to squirt a lot"

I think it is realy all about techinque. Lots of jaw and tongue control.

Is it a hate-crime to kill a vampire for being lesbian? They could put a Laramie Project spin on this.

Posted by: james. at February 17, 2009 12:19 PM

DC,

The two guys in question are from the UK show Gavin and Stacey...a very funny rom-sitcom and, dare I say it, even funnier and sweeter than Spaced. You Americans need to get with the program and eliminate all you shit channels with the exception of BBC America...

I wonder what band did the cover song of a cover song. I don't think they tried to make it different from Van Halen's version. At least come up with a different guitar tone.

Am I the only one hypnotised by that Skynet Research ad in the top left of the page? I keep trying to mentally undo the button on that woman's blouse.

/I am the only one? Okay then, carry on.

Is it a hate-crime to kill a vampire for being lesbian?

I'm sure Fred Phelps has already mobilized his family to the UK to attend the premiere. SEE, he always said gay=evil.

Posted by: jamiepants at February 17, 2009 2:23 PM

all vampires are gay/bisexual. since they are dead the idea of romance doesnt exsist to them its just the passion of the fucking that they like.

Posted by: "N" at February 17, 2009 4:40 PM

Be sure to get ready for the inevitable sequel,
"Vegan Zombie Slayers"
and the prequel,
"Hippie Lycan Hitmen",
ending with the remake,
"Bound 2".

I like your plan, admin. I'll bring the rum...and maybe some vodka to be on the safe side. And YAY, I'll be in London on 20.March. Woohoo!

jM, I was also wondering about the milky substance they kept throwing up/squirting instead of blood. Are they full-body lactating?

Posted by: Joker at February 17, 2009 7:05 PM

Hey, N...I hate to burst your bubble, but, uh, vampires don't actually exist you know.

And BTW, if romance doesn't exist for them, why would "passion for fucking" exist either?

I know, bitchy me spoiling N's party and all...

this is going to be freaking awesome! I can't wait!!

Posted by: Jeva at February 18, 2009 1:47 AM

So is this a "guys only" film? or can we all come along? :D I love the guys who are in it!

Posted by: Amy at March 3, 2009 4:21 PM

i dunno, i wouldnt jump the gun on this one too quick. it looks ok, but then so did guesthouse paradiso (dont remember? good)i like what these guys do with gavin and stacy but i dont think that their comedy is right for something so outrageous and laugh out loud. perhaps stick to quaint understated comedy. it doesnt look that funny. people will like it cos its a bit british and hes a wide-boy who says bollocks. im not convinced, i'll believe it when i see it.

Posted by: danny ratface at March 4, 2009 12:39 AM

Lesbian vampires do make some sense, given they bleed unvoluntarily once a month. However, had it been 2 dudes with fangs blowin' each other, the potential for severe bloodshed would definately be there. Also, it would explain why they're throwing up a white substance.
