Look Away, I'm Hideous

It’s a more compelling post in theory than what we actually have for you: A new Harry Potter and the Deathly Half-Stoned Prisoner of Azkaban television spot (the 8th already), which does feature Daniel Radcliffe in a bra. For what that’s worth.

Harry Potter in a bra, hahahahhahahahhahahhaha. Was that Ginnie or Hermionie? Didn't Daniel Radcliff always want to do drag? He looks like he's getting off on it.

Although, I'm confused. I thought when you took the polyjuice potion that it changed your voice, too, so you'd be a perfect replica.

BWeaves, I don't remember exactly how it worked in the books, but in the second movie you can still hear Daniel Radcliffe's and Rupert Grint's voices coming out of Crabbe and Goyle. And Hermione definitely still sounded like Emma Watson and not Mrs. Norris (the cat).

Speaking of Emma Watson... wow. Just wow. She's going to be immaculate when she's about 33.

Oh, wait, don't delete me. Pwetty pweeze?

This, is true. But then when Barty Jr., transformed into Mad Eyed Moody using Poly-Juice his voice did change. I don't remember there ever being an explanation for that.

It is actually Fleur. I’m reading it again, and I just finished that part. Plus, if it were Ginny, she wouldn’t say that. She would probably be curious.

I’ve been trying to avoid the TV spots and pics online; I really felt “spoiled” on the Half Blood Prince. Sitting in the theater, I felt like I had seen the whole thing already.

But you tempted me with this one, Dustin, you sneaky sneakaroo. That, and I had to identify the ugly ginger** in the header pic, because I heart hot gingers, and he ain’t one.

**It seems to be Bill, which is weird, because according to the book he is very handsome. Oh well, can’t win them all…

I just checked the books, and your voice definitely changes to fit the person whom you are imitating when you drink Polyjuice Potion.

I also wondered if the ginger behind the changed Fleur was Bill . . . and yeah, I thought he was supposed to be really, incredibly good looking. That guy is not. Damn, I was looking forward to finally seeing hot Bill.

EJ, which book did you check? I could have sworn the voice issue from movie two was canon. Does anyone gave it handy? /dork

Emma Watson is already immaculate.

I checked Chamber of Secrets, and it clearly states Goyle's (or was it Crabbe's?) voice was coming from his mouth and the other's was coming from Ron.

also - hermione did not accidentally use mrs. norris for her polyjuice potion. she was trying to use millicent bulstrode but used her cat's.

I think it's probably fair to assume that the Polyjuice does change the voices, but for the purposes of clarity, we the viewers hear the characters voices; i.e. - Fleur, et al. instead of 7 Harrys, which would be confusing at best. There's no need for Mad-Eye Moody to have a distinct voice from his impersonator, because we're not in on the disguise. Or maybe that's just my personal fanwank on the matter, but it works for me!

Postscript: I love you bitches.

Yeah, it was Fleur saying this after taking a Polyjuice Potion. "Look away, Bill. I'm hideous!" If u notice in this movie, Fleur's french accent has completely disappeared

Anyone noticed the similarity with Kramer in this clip? Is it intended? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ka1PeNNi6dg
