Do you guys know Eric Powell’s comic series “The Goon”? You should, and I’m not just saying that because it’s getting made into an animated movie. It has laughs, action, and zombies getting mutilated. Everything a Pajiban needs.
It’s about a big ugly dude with a mysterious past and a penchant for whoopin’ on the undead. He’s joined by Frankie, a classic sidekick. The kind with a mouth that tends to get him into situations that require The Goon’s help.
Here’s your teaser:
Yep, Paul Giamatti is perfect as Frankie. The voice of The Goon is still up in the air but Clancy Brown seems to be the number one candidate. The animation is cartoony but really it has to be or else the violence wouldn’t be very funny.
Want to hear the weirdest part about this project? It’s produced by David Fincher. And they’re saying he’ll be active in the production, not just throwing money at it.
