No details have been given for what movie this teaser from Bad Robot productions is advertising, the title, or what it’s about, but that’s kind of the genius behind some of Bad Robot’s marketing: Shroud everything in mystery, and then give us Cloverfield. The Internet will no doubt dissect the sh*t out of this (although, it doesn’t leave a lot to dissect), but I’m really just kind of hoping it’s a super cool ad for a really spectacular smelling cologne.

Soon he will know what? WHAT MAN? Tell us!

Comments Are Welcome, Bigots and Trolls Are Not

  • DeusExMachine

Who gives a fuck what this is supposed to be a teaser for. It won't have anything to do with the finished product anyway. Whatever it's going to be.

  • Batesian

A fallen angel was my first thought. Based on... I dunno. This cup of coffee right here?

  • Kip Hackman

You I've long thought that the time is ripe for movie tie-in colognes. Or even for TV shows. I know I can't be the only one who wants to buy scents created by Tom Haverford.

  • googergieger

Abrams eh? Who gives a shit comes to mind...

  • Four Eyes

    Ooohh! It's Aquaman, right??? Right?

  • BlackRabbit

I wish. It will be a warm day in Alaska before a Aquaman movie is made that even looks that pseudo-good.

  • Fredo

So that's where Jesse Pinkman will end up.

  • I love this type of shit. More marketing should unfold in this vein.

  • Joe Grunenwald

The new Star Wars movie looks DARK.

  • Fabius_Maximus

Yeah, I can barely make out anything.

  • Mrs. Julien

I'm a delicate flower (peony) at the best of times, but any image of someone with his/her mouth sewn shut especially deakies my freakies.

  • NateMan

Yeah, that's a pretty good one. Still better than eye damage, though. And I've known a few people who deserved it. However, that's not very good makeup there. It should look pulled tight, with the flesh in divots around it.

  • Mrs. Julien

Thank you, NateMan, because that's exactly what I wanted to do. To think about it from a verisimilitude perspective.

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

If you're going to be squicked out, though, isn't it best to be accurately squicked?

  • Mrs. J.

There you go again putting the "rational" in irrational.

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

It's the best way to be irrational.

  • TheOtherGreg

    He's rebooting the Bourne series.

  • zeke_the_pig

    What was that noise?
Oh that was the sound of my curiosity collapsing on the floor and falling asleep.

  • MikeRoorda

I'm going with Poseidon origin story. Eventually it will tie into the Percy Jackson series. Crossover possibilities with the Titan (Clash and Wrath of) franchise. Rumored to have a cameo by Joseph Gordon Levitt who appears either as Batman or Robin, possibly both.

  • Long_Pig_Tailor

JGL as The Goddamn Bad Robat.

  • Fabius_Maximus

"What is dead may never die, but rises again, harder and stronger."

  • NateMan

    "Viagra, by Calvin Klein"

  • Mrs. Julien

Is that the new Cialis tagline?

  • Fabius_Maximus

    Well, GRRM recently married...
