It's Totally Not A Bughunt: The Second Prometheus Trailer... Um... Trailer

Yes, I realize that this is goddamn ridiculous. But as someone smart said, I don’t make the news, I just report it. And in doing so, I’d like to point out that this is ri-goddamn-diculous. Here you have the second trailer trailer for Prometheus, the new Ridley Scott not-an-Alien-prequel film due out next year. And that wasn’t a type-o: this isn’t a trailer. It’s a teaser for the trailer, which will drop tomorrow. But I won’t be able to write up the trailer tomorrow, because I’ll probably be drunk.

So here’s the goddamn trailer teaser… trailer… thing.

"It's all about everything" that is good. I'm going to use that.

Somewhere a duck has just shoved its head up its own arse and held its breath until the head exploded as a protest against this brand of meta-marketing shit.

ARE YOU HAPPY, YOU UNRELENTING CUNTSQUEALS?!

Merry fucking Christmas.

Now I want a The North Face jacket. He looks so warm. That was the point of teaser teaser trailer right.

Such a lot of grumbling.

"It's all about everything"- Ridley Scott talking about Prometheus.

Only a slightly less informative pitch than when someone described their project as "A show about nothing."

Which should not be confused with another pitch about "The Nothing", which in fact was a story about something. With those characters, they were trying to find something...anything ant all, to use against Nothing.

Which should not be confused for the time William Shatner did indeed find "somethingonthewing....some...thing....", because that was some thing rather than nothing.

Which should not be confused for "The Thing" which was an awesome alien monster movie that still remains awesome to this very day and is superior in every way to its prequel/remake that came out earlier this year. Although technically this movie was a remake too and not a prequel.

Which should not be confused for this movie "Prometheus", which although it is set in the same universe as the "Alien" movie series and takes place in a time before all that, we are informed the alien in question will not be in it. Which is kinda like when they claimed the Kurt Russel movie "Soldier" take place in the same universe as "Blade Runner", another movie by Ridley Scott.

There had better be something more substantial to this than "everything", or else he's going to find this movie will make nothing at all.

A movie "about everything" would require a director who "knew everything".
Ridley Scott is pulling a L. Ron Hubbard with better visuals.

We probably wouldn't be so irritated if there had been a little more Fass in this bender.

...

I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

...

Doesn't mean it isn't true,
