First off, they are not calling this a trailer, they are calling it a prequel. I find that inaccurate because a prequel according to the imaginary definition in my head must be a full story in its own right, just as long as the actual work, the “quel” if you will. And it only makes sense, to avoid getting expectations up with a label. The Empire Strikes Back would not have been a sequel if it was only a minute and a half long. Of course, we all would have been happier if Phantom Menace was, so maybe prequels should be ninety seconds.
In any case, BBC has released a “prequel” to this year’s “Doctor Who” Christmas Special, which you can see right here:
