It Was a Very Goodyear

I’ve been seething with envy reading all the updates from the folks enjoying the hell out of Fantastic Fest, a more genre-heavy sister to SXSW, consisting of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy films galore. Goss and our dear friends from Frothygirlz have been raining in the updates, and it sounds like a lot of crazy shit coming out. One in particular that caught my attention was Quentin Depieux’s Rubber.
What’s it about? It’s about a tire named Roberto that witnesses a stack of burning tires and then goes on a revenge killing spree using its psychic powers to pop human heads. Like tires.
Yeah, you read that right. It’s a tire that makes people’s heads explodes. We featured it before, but it’s worth revisiting. Check out the teaser trailer below. You’ll have to hear from Goss whether or not it’s actually worth it, but goddamn, that sounds like a fucking hoot.

That tire is obviously a Firestone.
