In Her Skin Trailer: Daddy, Our Baby's Gone

Seriously, can someone explain to me why Guy Pearce isn’t in… everything? Why does he not get more parts? And while we’re at it, can we all agree that some of the most impressive films coming out these days are coming from Australia? As if I didn’t love that country enough. Of course, child kidnapping and murder movies aren’t exactly what we think of when we think of Australia, but damn if In Her Skin doesn’t look pretty good.

Speaking of underused actors, that same applies to Miranda Otto. Woman is amazing. In Her Skin (actual title is I Am You, but apparently it’s international release is getting a name change) is written and directed by Simone North, and is based on a (creepy as fuck) true story.

Guy Pearce is awesome!

He and Tim Olyphant are the only two actors I know of whose identities I'd steal if I was as Talented as Mr Ripley!

Sadly I doubt anyone would buy my subterfuge so they're both safe ... for now!

Watched Memento last night for the umpteenth time, and you just echoed exactly what I was thinking then.

Could somebody tell me what kind of indigenous antipodean animal placenta Sam Neill is eating? That man hasn't changed a bit in 30 years

PaddyDog, surely you mean marsupium? Aussie critters don't have placentae!

But yes, he has certainly been gnashing on some immortality chowder. If it's work, it's very good work.

I was just talking about Guy Pierce last night and wondering what the hell happened to him. It's like TK is stalking me or something. In which case, bring me some tacos!

False. This is *exactly* what I think of when I think of Australia. Or at least, their baby-hungry dingos.

I'm so with you on Guy Pearce. I think I saw this available On Demand last weekend, but wasn't sure what it was. Sam Neill too? All in.

Guy Pearce was in The King's Speech! It had been so long since I saw him in a movie that I spent five minutes arguing with my mom that it couldn't possibly be him. He's still looking damn good.

Bad Miranda Otto Performance alert! She might be good in some stuff, but if you don't want your bubble burst (sounds kinda fun, actually) don't watch (one of my favorite and watch-tastical costume dramas) The Way We Live Now (Cillian Murphy Alert!).

Her "American South" (I think, uh...) accent is reprehensible. Distractingly so. Just veddy veddy bad indeed.

That's all, really.

This Australian remake of the Roommate looks decent I guess.
