If I Were the Type of Exceedingly Lame Person Who Still Used the Word 'Geekgasm,' I'd Use It Here

Paul-Simon-Pegg-and-Nick-Frost-2.jpg

The first full-length trailer for the Nick Frost, Simon Pegg scripted Paul has arrived, and it’s pretty goddamn great, and may very well end up as the comedy to beat in 2011, assuming that Seth Rogen (who voices the alien) refrains from laughing. It’s a straight-up road trip comedy, with an alien twist, that heightened by the fact that the gang (plus Kristen Wiig) is being chased by Jason Bateman, who should honestly star in 93 percent of all films.

Bonus: It’s directed by Greg Mottola (Superbad, Adventureland), so you know the comedy is probably going to be mixed with a little pathos.

Watch and enjoy:

I beg to differ. He should star in 99 44/100% of all movies.

Tell me that the "I want that alien dead" disembodied voice doesn't sound like Jessica Walter.

Ok.

The "I want that alien dead" disembodied voice doesn't sound like Jessica Walter.

How was that?

Ooh....Marmite!

1. I think I just saw all the best parts.

2. Seth Rogen's voice is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG for the alien.

I'm pretty sure that disembodied voice of menace was Sigourney Weaver...

It’s a straight-up road trip comedy, with an alien twist...

So, that's a recommendation?

I'm with McSquish. That was totally Sigourney. I really don't think I like Rogen's voice either as an alien. I still think this will be a great movie though.

This right here. This is the reason I keep coming back.

I might actually have to leave the house and set foot in a movie theater for this. Highest praise attainable from me.

Reservedly enthused.

I was thinking Sigourney Weaver myself.

Most definitely going to see this when it's available on Amazon streaming or Netflix....and I am sure we will love it.

Nick Frost really needs to stick with one hairstyle.

I think this movie will be fucking terrible.

I have yet to see a single good quality in any trailer I've seen.

Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead had character. This just looks like they slapped the same two guys in something to make a little money.

Oh...and the internet is abuzz that it's a stupid fucking copy attempt at "American Dad!"

Too many dick jokes. Also, VALENTINES DAY, so appropriate.

Hey! I was gonna call my Cannonball run blog Greygasm.

Never got past the first post. I read. I just didn't want to post cursory reviews, and I didn't make the time to write good ones.

This movie looks sweet though. I've still got much faith in the team behind this.

Trailers are overrated.

I've started putting on Vudu trailers while I'm cooking though. That's the only way on Earth I would have paid attention to something called Tamara Drewe. But i try to skip trailers of movies I potentially could like.

Tell me that the "I want that alien dead" disembodied voice doesn't sound like Jessica Walter.

It sounded like Jane Lynch to me.

Superbad started out ok, then fell apart when the lame cops ruined the movie. I am guessing this movie will do the same...nice setup, nice middle, then they won't know what to do with the story and it will fall apart into derivative noisy trash. But hey, at least I think I will get half a good movie.

Well if I can hate on the ending of Schindler's List, you can hate on the expectations of an ending none of us have seen.

Oh...and the internet is abuzz that it's a stupid fucking copy attempt at "American Dad!"

That sounds fucking retarded. Did you tell them that? Don't spread retarded opinions on the internet, you'll look like a total Spack.
