I CAN ONLY AWNSER WHAT WOULD SHOCKOZULU DO

I haven’t seen a John Cusack movie since I started following his Tweets. As I’ve mentioned before, I see him in a completely different way now. And it’s not flattering. I want to share that experience with you.
Below is the trailer for Shanghai, a movie that’s been stuck on a shelf for over a year and still doesn’t have a firm release date, though it’s about to be released in China. It’s got a lot of talent: Cusack, Chow Yun-Fat, Gong Li, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Franka Potente, David Morse, and Ken Watanabe, and it was directed by Mikael Håfström, who directed what I thought was a pretty phenomenal horror movie, 1408. So, what’s wrong with the movie? It looks, from the trailer, like there’s a lot of credible performances, but it’s not exactly compelling, either.
Anyway, before you watch the trailer, I want to offer you a sampling of recent tweets by John Cusack, and let’s see how that colors your perception of his performance in the trailer.

RICK-rolled?
P.S. I have zero interest in seeing this movie, despite the presence of Chow Yun-Fat, Gong Li, Ken Watanabe, and David Morse.
