'Con Man' Trailer: 'Firefly' Is Reunited and It Feels So Wonderfully Fillion and Tudyk

The world crowdfunded this project to the moon and back, and as Felicia Day says, it might just “blow up the world like Dr. Horrible did. The creation of former Firefly-er, Alan Tudyk may have been turned down by television (ask Bryan Fuller; there’s no accounting for lack of taste), but the Comic-Con crowd went wild as Wash and Mal presented their meta collaboration; Con Man is a web series about actor Wray Nerely (Tudyk), who once starred in a beloved science fiction series called “SPECTRUM.” Following the series’ premature ending, Nerely and best pal — and “SPECTRUM” co-star — Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) lead very different existences; while Jack parlays his popularity into A-list celebrity status, Wray makes a living based on his past — with appearances at conventions and book store events. Con Man follows Nerely on his alternate path, paying service to fans on both sides of reality.

Oh, and the cameos! You won’t believe all the CAMEOS (Wil, Joss, Gina, Tricia, Katee, Felicia, Casper) Here, watch:

Count me all in.

“Science fiction is supposed to be about the future. Why are the fans so obsessed with the past.” Touché.

Con Man is expected to be released this September.
