Filthy Curves and Muddy Buttocks: New Your Highness Red Band Trailer and Posters

Let’s see, boobs, butts, swearing, raunchy humor; what more could a Pajiban want? Yes, that’s a loaded question and I fully expect to be subjected to your NSFW answers after you watch this goofy, NSFW, Your Highness trailer.

I admit to being somewhat of a comedy snob—if you name just about any recently made “humorous” film, I’ve likely not seen it. And I can’t really say exactly what what I find funny, only that most of what is purported to be side-splitting leaves me stone-faced and bored. But Your Highness looks to have moments of Monty Python-ery and a side of Benny Hill that I can appreciate, so the possibility of a breakthrough of my dreary world actually exists. Also, the idea of seeing Damian Lewis on the big screen again leaves me lost in my own NSFW thoughts.

Just in case you haven’t previously read about Your Highness or seen the previous trailer, the tale follows brothers Prince Fabious (James Franco) and Thadeous (Danny McBride) on an epic quest to recover Fabious’ kidnapped bride, Belladonna (Zooey Deschanel).

Once again, this trailer is NSFW, both in language and images:

Your Highness is directed by David Gordon Green (Pineapple Express, Snow Angels) and also stars Natalie Portman, Justin Therox, Toby Jones, Charles Dance and hits theaters April 8, 2011.

Finally, here are three new character posters:

"It's a trap! A booby trap!"

GLORIOUS.

How very callipygous!

I LOVE Justin Theroux. LOVE.

I saw a recent "making of" short about this movie. I guess it was really tough for Natalie Portman to learn how to use a bow and arrow. Thing is, the width of most people's heads isn't wider than the width of their shoulders, so trying to teach her how to fire the weapon was incredibly difficult. Apparently they had to add the weapon with CG effects in post-production.

All of that is true.

In.

Out. Pineapple Express was boring as fuck and all of these actors are great in small doses only.

Posted by: Fredo at March 24, 2011 4:37 PM

Out.

Using Pineapple Express to try to entice me to watch a film is a sure way to keep me from seeing it. So is Danny McBride. You could tell me Ms. Portman is completely naked, giving a BJ while taking it from behind, and I still wouldn't go see this film. Natalie, you're better than this.

"You could tell me Ms. Portman is completely naked, giving a BJ while taking it from behind"

This would not make me want to see this film. Are you trying to say that it might entice you to see it?

I confess, I never did really "get" porn. My loss, I suppose.

Humph. I'm not predisposed to hating any of the folk involved, but all the trailers for this have left me kind of cold. Meh, if you will. I'll likely give it a chance on Netflix, but it seems like they're trying oh so very hard, which usually doesn't make for good comedy.

Maybe I'm starting to hate it a little.

I saw them filming a bit of this one on the north coast of Ireland a few years ago.

Usually I try to avoid raunchy humor, but this might be worth seeing.

"Ms. Portman is completely naked, giving a BJ while taking it from behind, and I still wouldn't go see this film." thanks for that mental image. Now I won't get a damn thing done. As for the movie, worth a shot when it comes to DVD.

It looks really dumb. And not in the funny sort of way.

Posted by: Thijs at March 24, 2011 7:38 PM

This looks like Mel Brooks at his worst, twisted through his 17 year-old son's imagination and a back issue of High Times.

Posted by: idiosynchronic at March 24, 2011 8:02 PM

It looks god awful and not even in a fun way.

Posted by: Mrs. Julien at March 24, 2011 8:19 PM

This is going to be one of those movies my husband rents so we can watch it together, and I will, because I like being with him. It will probably make me laugh in places, and then I will hate myself.

Conversely, I could end up finding it hilarious and really hate myself.

Reba, you're a woman after my own heart. Ditto, and done.

wait, it's a comedy? weird, 'cause i didn't come close to laughing for one single fucking second.

i look forward to someone explaining the appeal of danny mcbride to me. how, exactly, isn't he really just tom arnold with profanity?

Posted by: matty boy at March 24, 2011 11:08 PM

please strike the phrase "how, exactly,"

sheesh.

Posted by: matty boy at March 24, 2011 11:13 PM

Yeah, I'd pay to see Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel making out, preferably nude. Maybe in a tub... Ahem. But Natalie Portman getting spit roasted is not my bag.

This movie, however, will most likely be. I'm taking off a day after the middle of April but before the 21st specifically for this. (I also loved Pineapple Express.)

Posted by: RobP at March 24, 2011 11:34 PM

I admit, I enjoy Pineapple Express more than I'd actually care to admit, but this looks rather stupid. Perhaps I'll watch it, though, someday, illegally and online.

Posted by: Hannah at March 25, 2011 4:55 AM

I'll end up watching this with my godson and enjoying it more than I should. Sigh. Will redeem myself by rewatching Rosencrantz & Guildenstern tonight...

Posted by: cinekat at March 25, 2011 5:47 AM

Let's see, Zooey Whatsherface and Amidala Portman, it won't make a dime.

Posted by: BarbadoSlim at March 25, 2011 9:46 AM

This is one of those trailers where you can already tell the movie is going to be godawful.

I admit I laughed at Boobytrap, though.
