Dirty Girl Trailer: Girl Is On My Mind

It’s strange, how much I want to see Juno Temple succeed. I love her to death, even though I’m pretty sure I’ve only seen her in two movies. Yet those movie — Cracks and Atonement — were such a gorgeous, fascinating films, and she was simply perfect in them. She seems incredibly promising, and she’s starting to garner attention — she’s been cast as Queen Anne in Paul W.S. Anderson’s upcoming extravaganza of excess and revisionist history, The Three Musketeers, as well as in The Dark Knight Rises.

Dirty Girl, however, features her as the star. She plays a rebellious and promiscuous teenager in s stuffy Oklahoma town who befriends a different kind of school misfit (Jeremy Dozier), and the two embark on a road trip to find her father. It’s got a remarkable supporting cast, including Milla Jovovich, William H. Macy, Mary Steenburgen, and Dwight Yoakam. The trailer doesn’t blow me away, but it’s tantalizing enough that, combined with the casting, I’m definitely interested.

Is it me, or are trailers getting longer? Seems like they used to come in around 2 minutes, then 2:10, then 2:15, and now the past week or so it seems they're all around 2:30.

Hell, might as well just show the whole movie to sell the movie if this keeps up.

I mean, even more than to the extent that a lot of trailers already show the whole movie ...

Awww I think I love everything about this movie. Especially that they take their flour sack baby with them when they run away from home.

Well they couldn't just leave her with a baking soda babysitter now could they?

When did Dwight Yoakam turn into a homeless man?

Are her brazilian-blowout-straight-n-layered hair and 21st-century clothing styles there to show us how much of a rebel she is? Because 1987 was still the era of the home perm and shoulder pads.

Except for that bewilderment, it looks like fun.

I read the title of this article as a reference to a Black Keys song, so I'm going to assume it is.

I once saw a reference to Murder By Death's "Brother" on here as well. Who likes all the righteous music?

I saw this when it premiered at TIFF 2010. It was fantastic and Juno was brilliant. The audience really loved it and the director got a lot of compliments and attention. I definitely recommend it and I will be seeing it again when it's released.

I hope the music in the trailer isn't indicative of the movie's soundtrack. It's not just that it's anachronistic. It's also pretty awful.

I legit did not recognize her without crazy red hair. What a fab actress.

Totally seeing this.
